I'm the last one to post - Please read my fascinating story
Fine, I exaggerate a little. Reading won't be mandatory
You won't find me on Twitter, I'm not on Facebook either
I'm anonymous and what you think is up to you, the reader:

Stuck on a boat with lousy Internet connection
Can't wait till I get home, my cat is missing my affection
It's been raining for days, some waves are as tall as houses
The streets are filled with water, this cannot be good for the roses!

The wind is blowing angrily and darkness is approaching
I expect a storm to come. I need some optimistic coaching
I listen to the MP3 player in my possession
Conveniently, I stole a rhyme from the song "Obsession"

Don't really mind the weather, can only endure this situation
Hiking and sunbathing wasn't the purpose of this brief vacation
I have little luggage, left the dictionary back at home
No fancy words will be appearing to help me improve this poem

Now I am complaining. Just needed to share these thoughts of mine
At least I have some words to post at MacGyveronline!
So, could I plan a future as a famous poet maybe?
Or should I stick to line dance and watching MacGyver on DVD?

I think I know the answer so please don't hurt my feelings
I had some fun with rhyming, which is the most important thing
I'm glad I will be home soon. Unfortunately too late for dinner
