Hunting a MacGyverirreverently stolen from Lewis Carroll,
who was careless enough to let me get my hands on a copy:"Come, listen, my friends, while I tell you again
Some clues, all important and diverse,
By which you may use, if you so choose,
To identify possible MacGyvers.
"Let us take them in order. The first is the hair,
Long in back, short 'round the ears:
Sometimes it is lighter, sometimes it seems dark,
Some times it begs for the shears!
"It's a habit of his to take a nap on the couch
After he's been out in the world on a roam;
For he works ever-so-hard to get the job done
It's not often he gets to go home!
"The third is the fact that he loves Adventure;
Can't keep the boy in one place!
He's always out trotting from North Pole to South
He likes it more it is a car-race!
"The fourth is his fondness for foldable knives
Which he constantly carries about,
Anytime he goes forth from his abode,
It's a guarantee you'll not find him without!
"The fifth is charity. There's no way to mistake
The kindness that lives in his heart;
An easy smile, always happy to serve,
A gentleman, both noble and smart.
"For, although one man may apear to be like MacGyver,
I feel it my duty to say,
Few can build an airplane with a cement mixer
And actually fly it away!
Everyone, sometimes, needs a camel.
Old troubleshooters never die...
They just wait til the last moment and then rescue themselves!
