Sorry if I'm posting too much or something... and let me know if these type of questions should go some place else but... haha, what's up with the bull dog frog? I think I've seen him in now 3 different episodes between season 3 and 5 (haven't bought 4 yet and can't recall from when I was 10 years old!) Is he like a Phoenix foundation dog? First mama Colton had him didn't she? But then in season 5 some other woman from Bulgaria (The Black Corsage ep) had him and... now another Colton has him.

Eh it makes me wonder about the little things

Frog is first introduced in season 5 Black Corsage. He belonged to the Bulgarian woman and at the end of the episode Frank Colton took him in. He's with the Colton’s from then on.

But yeah, OOPS, been watching seasons 1,3,5,6 and 7 lately. THAT'S why I was confused.

Aw, I like Frog the Dog! But then I think all dogs are cool!
Anyway, Frog's history begins in the 5th. Season episode of MacGyver called "The Black Corsage". He is initially owned by Sophia Ross, a Bulgarian scientist who is aided by the Phoenix Foundation and at the end of the episode she gives Frog to Frank Colton, who was also helping MacGyver.
I believe Frog mainly shows up from there in the 6th. Season episode "Squeeze Play" and the 7th. Season episode "The Coltons".

I don't think he's shown up in any other episodes beyond that- though maybe he was seen in the background in some of the other episodes featuring The Coltons- though as far as I can remember I don't think so.

Frog's most notable moments probably include helping free Frank Colton and MacGyver in "The Black Corsage" by bringing a fish with sharp teeth to MacGyver- and later in the prologue of "The Coltons" episode by bringing a bottle of acid to MacGyver so he could cut the ropes binding him and Frank.

Bulldogs make great watch dogs and are definitely good for protection- as Mama Colton cautioned Billy to take Frog with him when he went after Jesse and Frank in "The Coltons" episode.

Yes, I love Frog, too! Not only is he ugly-cute, he provides some comic relief as well.

Yeah, mean and ugly!! The perfect description for that dog. But a mean, ugly dog with a good sense of humor.

My own dog however is not mean and ugly, but affectionate and protective. And jealous.
