Just had this idea to make a list of peculiarities of the MacGyver universe. Anything which is particular to MacGyver's world or different to the real world can be listed.

Maybe if we get a good list, I can add it to the web site.

So I'll start and then everyone else throw your ideas in as well. (please check the list to make sure your not doubling up)

The conductor of a train actually slows down so you can hop on after the trains left the station.

Punching someone does hurt your hand- maybe not always, but it's certainly painful to the puncher as much as the punchee.

MacGyver can hold his own in a fight, but of course he always looks for other ways than fighting- or he tries to find ways to outsmart his enemies with something other than brute force. He actually gets in quite a few good punches in "Second Chance"- and yes, he shakes his hand. But that's realism- and it adds to MacGyver, making him relatable to everyone.

-Okay, anyway- getting off of that....

I will say that there's a lot of guns left lying around in the MacGyver universe. We often see MacGyver knocking a gun aside and tossing it away- but they don't always show him or someone picking it up and disposing of it!

Maybe not only in MacGyver, it happens in plenty of series but um... people coming back from the dead.

Surviving a building that's being demolished, is very unlikely but possible, but surviving an explosion in a truck, should've desintigrated Murdoc completely and falling of a 2000 foot mountain usually causes a hard smack which no one can possibly survive.

They fired buster through several windows and he came off second best.. in fact the store front window delivered fatal injuries.

Any time you go through a window with out injuries is pure luck.

They use to use some kind of thin candy type stuff instead of real glass. But I think now they use some kind of thin easy to break glass.

It's sugar glass. They still use it. Very easy to break.
