What do you think were the funniest moments and/or quotes in MacGyver? I know it was a serious show all in all, but it was definitely spiced up from time to time with some absolutely hilarious humor.

Examples of funny scenes from MacGyver:
Jack and Pete in the Odd Triple is one for me--the entire scene roller.gif Pete telling Jack they have to get in somehow to the winery to rescue Mac and Jack says "Disguised as what: Mother Teresa and a leper?" Very, very funny!!

"My jeep went over a cliff, I died and went to Thanksgiving" from the Outsiders always gets me

Jack in disguise in the episode Friends and the everyone yelling Happy Birthday and Mac turns and Jack just laughs--priceless biggrin.gif

Really anything with Jack Dalton is funny--let's see from Lost Love -Jack's "How in God's name do you know Arnold Palmer's birthday?"
Mac replies, "Doesn't everyone?" Great stuff!!

"For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."

Just the whole scene with Mac and Mr. Newberry in Harry's Will.

'Isn't that wonderful? You must save so much ink, signing checks. Hehehehe!'
Mac just squints his eyes in response.

And Newberry humming cleaning of his phone when Mac opens the envelope. laugh.gif

Also when Cody doesn't want to give the diamond to Dent, they start pulling it.

Dent falling on Montana in High Control.

'Get off, you weigh a ton.

Also Mac's face is hilarious when he says Earl can move in with him.

And Tim Winters whole performance as Peugeot. And of course Major Sneed, Elliot and LaManna themselves were just hilarious. With of course Ben Stein as the best of them three. I hope the Wonder Years will be released in Europe soon because the kind of teacher he plays is outstanding.

From Faith, Hope & Charity - The opening shot in the scene in where Mac awakes on the bed - and the camera is focused on his foot. I still can't stop laughing.

The director is of course the wonderful Bill Gereghty who was also Director of Photography on many Mac episodes and many SG-1 episodes as well.

Yeah Bill!! laugh.gif jeep.gif

That which has been established will endure even with time and at a distance.

I can't tell you anything about what happens after the cameras go off, mostly because I'm usually unconscious by then.

The fact the ladies are treating him like either a baby or child with putting him that napkin on. Of course that small guitar tune in the scene made it look quite silly.

OH, lol, I just watched up to the part where he woke up alone.

The key to a lot of humor in MacGyver is RDA's facial expressions. I especially love that part in Humanity when he is waiting for his homemade rocket/signal flare gun to fire, and when it doesn't go off when he expected, he gives it this terrific annoyed look like "What the hell?" happy.gif It isn't hysterically funny, but I always chuckle when I see that part. Actually, any time one of his MacGyverisms doesn't quite work the way he predicted, it has an element of humor to it.

"If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer."

--Henry David Thoreau

I always crack up at this one Asian kid in "The Madonna" while the kids at the Challengers Club are singing "Hark, the Herald Angels Sing". His facial expressions are just funny.

And there's plenty of great humor throughout the MacGyver episodes from time to time. "Harry's Will" and "Honest Abe" both seem to have a pretty good share of humor throughout the episodes.
And definitely the whole scene with MacGyver and Jack trying to get the Ming Dragon in "Lost Love" (Part 2, I think) and Mac is trapped in the case and is trying to tell Jack the numbers to punch in- really funny there.
And the ladies in "Faith, Hope and Charity" are pretty funny too.

Mac makes a few funny cracks in "Good Knight, MacGyver" (Parts 1 and 2), especially when Merlin is crawling over him and he comments that he could use some deodorant.

There's a few funny lines in "Unfinished Business"- I like when MacGyver tells Jack, "Most people go out and work for a living instead of dragging their friends from one disaster to another." (may not be verbatim, but something like that.)

And Earl Dent's and Montana's banter in "High Control" is pretty funny too.
And Pete's asking MacGyver to go bowling at the end of "Blind Faith" is pretty funny too.
Oh and definitely- "Out in the Cold"- when MacGyver takes in an injured Pete for a while- there's a bit of The Odd Couple style humor going on- pretty funny.

Mac to Penny Parker in "Every Time She Smiles."
She says something about...."you know those big machines they have on farms...."
Mac: "a trac-tor?"
Penny: "Yeah, don't they run on gas?"
Mac: "They've been known to."

Frolov: Are you crazy?
Mac: It's been rumoured.

Several MacGyverisms were funny-looking in execution. Take the bed-frame launcher in the episode where Mac was poisoned (can't recall the name), the frame flying across the floor was hilarious. Another funny, but sad, MacGyverism was in the Stringer, the jetpack escape. They looked like rocketmen!

The bedframe launcher was in a first season eppy called Nightmares.

Yea normally when a macgyverism doesn't work immediately like he thought it would, like a bomb for instance he will poke his head out from behind wherever he is hiding looking at it like whats taking so long. In one episode I forget which one he pokes his head out twice doing this and he sees the bomb is about to blow and his face shows a look of oh crap and he ducks down quickly.

one scene that always makes me laugh is from Runners, when Jeniffer asks Pete for a date and MacGyver pops up from behind the cabinet with a WTH? look on his face. laugh.gif
