I can't post it, but mine shows Carter and Thor looking out a window of an Asgard ship at the O'Neill (the high-tech ship the Asgard are building, and will be soon used to lure the Replicators away from the Asgard homeworld). From season 4 - Small Victories.

On a Mac, any image you can save as a .JPG can be used as a screen saver. Because resolution from the web is only 72dpi, they will sometimes be fuzzy. So, always grab or chooses an image at the highest resolution possible.

I don’t understand the computer wallpaper thing. I changed it once but I hardly ever saw it. When I’m on my computer I’m using it, so either windows or games are open and I can’t see the back ground picture. When I’m not using my computer I’m not looking at the screen so why have a pretty picture?
Now its just the default blue\green you get from windows vista.

Seriously though, why so much needed to run it? It doesn’t do anything that different from the other windows I’ve used. Or maybe I haven’t noticed because I’m just using it like I would the old windows?

At the moment performance is fine but I have a new computer with a decent processor and memory (so I'm told). Maybe as time goes on I’ll notice problems? Phooey!

Control Panel - Display - "Desktop" tab - "Customize Desktop" button

You have to have downloaded .ico files to change to. I'd go to Leo's Icon Archive to start out.

An updated version of my icons will be coming out soon, so I'll post the download link.

For the custom XP skin (The custom taskbar, etc.) you must first download UXTheme Multi-Patcher And run the .exe file within the archive. (Microsoft made Windows XP so that you can't use custom "Visual Styles," but this program will fix that ) During this process you will get warnings and things from Windows saying that it's been modified, you need to restore from the CD, blah blah blah. Just click them away, because this isn't a virus. Reboot when complete. Running the program again will undo what it did.

Then you need a custom visual style. Check this Deviant Art category for a great selection. Just search till you find one that fits you.

Once downloaded, unzip to a permanent folder (A good place is C:\Visual Styles\Name of theme) and double click the .msstyles file. This may take a while to install. Once complete, it will automatically open the Control Panel options to apply it.

I have a copy of PC Magazine from April 2002, and this is exactly what they said about Windows XP when it first came out.

I'm allergic to Windows. It produces this primal reaction in me that is stronger than I can resist and I wind up throwing computers that run the OS....

The return to work was brutal. I hadn't used Windows in 2 whole months and upon firing up the computer at work... I got the blue screen of death.

I do NOT like Windoze... but the Mac I want is a bit too pricey for me...

At first glance, I found the price of my iMac outtrageous, then I realised that I keep computers for a long time. My last PC was seven years old when I threw it off the cliff and my last Mac was going on ten years (it had been upgraded, though).

Plus, my iMac doubles as my DVD viewing screen, so I won't need to replace the tv and DVD player when they go kablooey.

Finally, and most importantly, the couple of grand I sank into it is SO worth the aggravation saved and is cheaper than the therapy I would have eventually had to get for having to deal with Windows, so....
