The night before I slept very very well, the night after I almost didn;t get ay sleep at all (it was quite stormy too)

It was the best moment of my life. Not even my wedding day can top it.

I wanted to go to Avalon. Just too darn expensive, and at the time we were in the middle of planning to move. Now if it was in California... *sigh*

Easier, too, more comfortable, and easy on the eyes, as long as we skip the bad dark-tie-on-dark-shirt combos. (shudder) Not as easy on the eyes as RDA himself, but you're quite right; it would be tough to find anyone else that good-looking!

Except for the height, weight, and hair and eye colour, those are measurements for costumes.

It's standard to provide that kind of stats in a profile -- in pre-internet days, we often used to get faxes with measurement details in advance of a performer's arrival. With the list of measurements, you can go out shopping and have costumes ready for fitting right away, which is really important when there's a time crunch (and there's always a time crunch)!

Of course, that approach doesn't work too well if you're doing a period piece and making the costumes. Our measurement sheet had about 35 or 40 different measurements on it (raise your hands if you know how to measure 'rise' ), and we were fussy about taking our own measurements for "built" shows -- the faxed sheets could be several years old and not too reliable.
