Also, though... For at least some of those moments, I always thought the assassins' employers were simply governments. Quayle gets unleashed on MacGyver & co. right after MacGyver breaks out of East Germany, so I figured the three mysterious men giving him his orders were probably just some East Bloc intelligence service or other - it would fit the Cold War theme of season 1. As for Axminster, the vibe I got from him was that he was a political terrorist rather than a gun-for-hire.

If Pierdra hadn't died, I would've liked to see him and Murdoc team up. And Zito, and Quayle, and Debora... What can I say, I guess I have a thing for villain team-ups! tongue.gif

I did hear that Murdoc was originally supposed to be only a one-time character, but MDB's performance convinced the producers to keep him on regularly. Maybe the 3 un-named men were originally just mysterious people/governments who kept sending people to get Mac, and after Murdoc became the arch-nemesis, the producers invented H.I.T.?

Maybe I think too much... unsure.gif

Despite what I said earlier in this topic, in another topic, I am however convinced that these three men might simply be HIT. There is no reason they're not but there is no reason why they would be HIT either. It's a fifty-fifty thing. I think I have come to accept that it is HIT so that would actually mean Quayle, Murdoc and David Crane work for HIT. Crane might be a freelancer for all we know. And in so doing despite being an unnamed organization in the first two to four seasons HIT could've been part of the show from the beginning. And who knows maybe HIT is just like a dark version of Phoenix with branches all over the world and all kinds of divisions. Besides assassinations, they're into gun smuggling as well and who knows what else, maybe even political terrorism, drugs trafficking, joining wars to make a buck, stuff like that.

I think the poison that was used was applied to this knife, passed to the mutton when it was cut and then activated by the wine. - MacGyver.

It's better to be a little sad than to be fake content.
