I think it's just the way the light hits his hair.
No, I'd say that's definitely gray. I read somewhere that one of the reasons he colored his hair during the show was because he was going gray, so maybe this photo was taken during a hiatus or something when he wasn't coloring it. Just a guess. I notice during the "Hindsight" episode in Season 6, you can really see the grayness in his hair around the temples.
i found this one my net travels this cover of Playgirl was done back in 1986 of may more then likely to help promote MacGyver to get more female fans into the mix. no nude photos are of Rick in the magazine just his photo on the front page.
