The word bricolage popped up on Who wants to be a Millionaire today. Since it wasn't the righjt answer (that was "onomasticon", they wanted to know which of the choices was in Roget's thesauras as a synonym for 'thesaurus' LOL) and I had no idea what it meant, I looked it up.

And this is what I found!

"Something made or put together using whatever materials happen to be available:"

And a bricoleur is "someone who invents his or her own strategies for using existing materials in a creative, resourceful, and original way."

Who knew? LOL

Oh, I read something about how a woman 'went Macgyver" when she had to put together something for her lab. LOL
