I've been stalking my e-mail obsessively for weeks. I must drop in and out of Yahoo a dozen times a day. Its making me crazy!

I wonder if they will put a limit on the number of tickets peple can purchase to prevent people from buying up a bunch and then trying to re-sell them. I read that GateCon was being very selective in the registration process, but that doesn't mean that some cheaters won't sneak through.

Actually, there are 230 VIP tickets left, Allan did the math wrong 350 minus 120 actually is 230 and not 220.

He also said, that they wanted to increase the number for another 100 tickets, but Rick said no, to be sure that everybody will get his picture taken with him in the allotted time.

I think even if you don't get a VIP ticket it will be so worth going there, even without the picture together with Rick and the presigned autograph. But you still would be able to see him at stage and doing all the other things. And maybe there's time for a private talk at the Legends Memorabila shop.

I got back Tue afternoon and spent yesterday with my feet up - my ankles don't like long plane trips. Oh, I flew back on a 747! And the shuttle bus at Heathrow drove right past the SST they have on display!

I think Rick learned his lesson with that first photo session at Avalon. With all his health problems, he'll be watching the amount of time he spends on his feet.

But this way, you get a minute and a half of his undivided attention ~swoon~

And my friend and I will be going even if we have to get the lesser pass.

So apparently I'm not the only one doing the math At first I had it wrong, divided the 350 peple through the 540 minutes and only came up with 0,6 minutes, which would have been very short...

I hate to ask, but what is a SST?

But back to topic: I asked Allan which kind of informations we would need from our friends if we want to buy a ticket for them. He answered, only the name is required, we can send over the other contact informations later per e-mail.

Just for grins and giggles, I calculated the price for the VIP pass. At today's current exchange rate in translates to $370US. And I need 2 tickets.......... considering the Gate pass but I HATE missing anything and am thinking this is probably a once in a lifetime experience so I need to get organized and come up with a little more $$.

Maybe I'll be dealing at casino parties alot more often...........

Either way, I'm grateful that the ticket sale is a Saturday. My caffeine fueled self will be waiting up all night to be online and on the sight when the sale starts. 0600 in Utah, if the chart for sale times is correct.

Those of you going, yeah let's definitely get together and compare notes/photos/stories. It will be WAY COOL!!!!!

Huh. I did get my announcement email, delivered safely to my Yahoo account, and it didn't even get sucked into the Junk Mail folder -- but it looks as if Astra and I were the only ones who got one!

And it turns out you can get the current exchange rate really, really fast just by typing 'convert pounds to dollars' into Google.

I too will be haunting the Gatecon site at 5 am Pacific Time on The Day; but even if I miss out and end up with a regular Gate pass, it's still gonna be a blast!

So far, I count Astra, Banlu, Grrl, Loth, and myself -- is anyone else from here planning on going?

Hey, maybe we could do official MOL badges or jackets or T-shirts or something -- make a show of our Community Spirit!

I'm all in for badges, but I'd have to wear a Jackfic-, Gateworld- and RDAnderson.com- shirt also, and that would become a bit difficult

And I start to be afraid that there will be not enough days and evenings to meet all the people I want to meet. Sheesh!

Of all the people I sent out this information just to be sure everybody got it Loth was the only one that didn't get the e-mail, all the others did. And you're right, I also feared it would land in the spam-folder, but it didn't. Received it savely at two different accounts.

For me it is Saturday at 2 PM, by the way, so it seems I got the best deal
