Ok, here goes:

I used to fly in Vietnam, but shell shock has made me terrified to even go near a helicopter. My girlfriend tries to get me to fly, but I just can't do it. Even when our lives are at stake, I falter. Eventually when the going gets really rough, I come through and fly.
