Hey guys, I have to take a break from writing my current story for awhile. I have to find a new place to live and get that all organized. Where I am right now it's too expensive--my parents used to be willing to help me out a bit, but you know that can't last forever. I have to cut my costs and find a higher paying job. My folks were pretty mad at me tonight, something I won't get into much here, but let's just say they're very unhappy and disappointed in me, and I feel that I've been a terrible financial burden on them. So, things are a little depressing and uncertain right now, but I'll try to return with the next part to my story as soon as possible. I'm sure you'll understand.

You'll be just fine, Chick. I'm sorta in the same situation. Guess continuing to study film won't happen after all. I guess I was too anxious for wanting it that I can't bring it up no more to study. I did in fact try to get in a school for it but I failed at the entrance examinations. They told me to find another one, one where you don't need to do entrance examinations. I went out there to register but they were already full from in May so I got waitlisted when I registered in July. They never called (yet). And if they do so, I for one thing wouldn't know what to answer anymore. I work(ed) in a big clothes shop. Going to work would be the easiest thing for me and I at least would have some time again to write. When The World Changes is going at a great speed for the time being. Now my mother told me I should go and look for other work something that pays more than my present job. Though I'm more than happy at where I work now. So she told me to go and find work in the closest hospital in town, where my brother works. We'll see, but I'm well aware she's trying to get me out of the house. I'm more than willing to go but financially... that's impossible for now. Besides prices went up again for appartments in the city.

But I shouldn't bore you with my situation now. Just go and look. That'll never harm. Look for something that pays off, where you like to work and where they don't treat you like garbage.

What about housing together with a friend? People you can trust? Would that help with the cost of an appartment/home/etc??? Just wondering...

As a matter of fact that's how I "rescued" the second mortgage my mom had. She has this house in one town and a little appartment in another (she lives in the appartment). Some years ago she told me she couldn't afford two mortgages (who in their right mind could?!!!). So I told her to give me that house (it's close to my university and previous job) and I would take care of the rest. I must say that my mom is truly lucky. The house is VERY big with several rooms and two separate garages. So I took all my savings and divided the house in two medium sized appartments. Turned some extra rooms into small kitchens and dinning rooms or living rooms and the whole project ended up being two "doll houses". I live in one and the other I rented for the amount of the mortgage, light and water included in the "rent" payment. I pay for the water and the light (in Puerto Rico, the light bill is controlled by the price of oil, so monthly light bills are expensive. Just to give you an idea, this house pays almost $300.00 of light bill each month! We're talking about two complete kitchens and two dryers - and NO, we can't have gas stoves where the house is located. There are areas in Puerto Rico were the Law forvides you of having gas appliances.

I guess this idea is NOT always posible in the United States, but perhaps having a good friend as room-mate could help out. Just a suggestion.

Well guys, I managed to find a less expensive place to live, after all, and the place is nice. I will be moving at the end of September, and I'm giving my 30 day notice on my current place this weekend. So, everything should be all worked out for now. If I can find a job that pays well but isn't too demanding and takes me away from my writing too much, I should be fine. I might be able to post the next part of my story this weekend (it is Labor Day weekend for us in the U.S. after all--3 days, baby! ), but I am having some people over on the holiday and that requires extensive cleaning in order to impress them. Still, I could have time to spare. We'll see. Thanks everybody for all your support and advice! I love you all!

(Its awful having to go to a job that you hate, every... single... bloody day...and it feels like forever just getting through a day... Been there,done that, got the scars...)
