I just noticed that on Sunday, December 3, Mac will be on at 3:00 pm (not Noon) and I do believe they are showing "The Madonna" - an episode that is rarely broadcast. It's some sort of Christmas thingy that TVLand is doing for the whole weekend - showing many different shows and their Chrismas-based episodes.
So... make a note: Mac at 3 pm Sunday, Dec. 3 (New York Metro area) - other areas, adjust schedules accordingly!

They can't wait till December 24 or 25?
I think the poison that was used was applied to this knife, passed to the mutton when it was cut and then activated by the wine. - MacGyver. Sometimes you just have to die a little inside to be reborn and rise again as a stronger and wiser version of you. It's better to be a little sad than to be fake content.

I checked on TVLand's schedule and it was indeed on - and I did watch it - at 3pm (NYC metro area) - although my local newspaper tv section said 2pm.
TVLand is going to repeat "The Madonna" (episode #94) - on Monday, December 25 - at 3 AM... So all you folks waiting up to see Santa Claus will have something to do to stay awake - that's what their schedule says as of now... possibly subject to change?... stay tuned.
ALSO - I noticed that they have MacGyver scheduled - in December - for SATURDAYs at noon - NOT Sundays??? - We'll see...

Which is egg-zactly what I'll do...One channel doesn't leave much room for TVLand! Oh but wait! If I got to our unheated and therefore too-cold-to-tolerate-at-this-time-of-year basement where for some reason we have the antenna hooked up...we get THREE channels! But still no TVLand. Thank goodness for DVDs!

Yeah me too but I do wish they’d show it on TV here again. Not for my sake but for the DVD-less, all those poor unfortunate children who have never seen MacGyver and for those adults who had MacGyver deprived childhoods.
And maybe also a little bit for my sake – So I won’t get so many blank looks when I mention MacGyver to anyone!

There's always at ulterior motive, isn't there... I'm actually surprised how few blank looks I get...instead I get a lot of rolled eyes.
Lol, I've actually gotten referred to as MacGyver by my friend who, who doesn't watch the show, and who doesn't know I do...it's pretty funny though. I'm always doing randomly handy things and fixing stuff and she always says something like "You must be MacGyver's daughter" or "You're just a regular MacGyver aren't you?" It's really amusing actually

Kinda shows just how entrenched into American culture MacGyver is...pple tend to know even if they've never seen the show personally.
I'm saying that...assuming you're in America, Pseodo! Guess I shoulda checked!

Yep I am, no worries . It's so entrenched that even high school students, living in a ridiculously named town in Illinois, who have never seen the show, refer to it.

I just checked on TVLand and according to "The TV Link" - MacGyver's contract is up at the end of December - but it IS subject to renewal... so maybe Mac WILL be still broadcast... Their schedule doesn't go past Sat. December 23, so there's no way to tell yet.
Mac is now on Saturdays - 12 Noon. Possibly the last 2 episodes scheduled are Dec. 16 - "Bushmaster" and Dec. 23 - "DOA MacGyver". It's a good idea to check beforehand - I do, on the cable network schedule just to make sure, as TVLand has a way of changing things at the last minute.

Yeah I check every week just in case. I have my vcr set to tape but I go on Tv Lands website everyweek before it is due to come on to make sure I have the time and day right. I have accidentally recorded other stuff due to there constant changing of the scheduals, since then I learned my lesson.

I'm a poor high school student with no real means of transportation(I still haven't gotten my liscence yet, I'm old enough, but I'm just not a very good driver. Also it is now winter and I don't think trying to get my liscence during the icy, rainy, and cold Illinois winter would be a good idea, so I think I will wait untill spring), and friends who sap the little money I earn/get (I don't mind though... ). Until I get a job (which won't be until after this year...I'm trying to keep my 4.0 at the moment along with doing stuff with my church and watching my siblings and helping around the house, I am pretty busy...) and my liscence, I probably won't be able to buy the dvds. Although maybe someday soonish I will. Until that fateful day I'll have to settle for the tapes I have been making (If only I'd thought of it earlier when it was on everyday, but i guess that is an instance where the saying 'hind sight is 20/20' applies.) So yeah...would if I could, but I can't so I won't dwell on it.
(That was a long post with lots of parenthases...as you may have noticed, I am pretty partial to them...along with ellipses)

Some unfortunate news...
TVLand's Schedule - starting January 8 (Monday) does not include MacGyver at all. So I guess he's gone... from there...
The site I go to for RDA's TV schedule says that Mac WILL be shown on Saturday January 6 - probably the last time... they don't say which episode.
Does anyone here know who is the parent company of TVLand... they wouldn't be - by any chance - the same company - NBC Universal - that owns the SciFi Channel and USA Channel??? Anyone?? I just wonder why RDA seems to be disappearing from broadcast TV...

Yesterday, I e-mailed to TVLand to the "Link" inquiring about the possibility of renewing Mac's contract: I understand that the contract for showing MacGyver expires at the end of December 2006. Is there any way to re-acquire it? Is this something that TVLand has to work out with Paramount (or what's left of it). Many, many fans are very disappointed that Mac is leaving (some of us don't have the DVD's. If there is a way to get him back that can be arrainged... we would surely appreciate any effort you can make. Thanks!
Here is the reply - directly from them: I regret that TV Land will not be renewing the contract. I expect that it will be reappearing on another network, but, not TV Land.
I guess it's over... at least on TVLand. I do have the DVDs, but I still enjoyed seeing the show broadcast. Hopefully another network will pick it up.
