Has anyone actually found out what the actual houseboat style was? My wife and I have been discussing this at length while going through the Complete Collection on DVD and neither of us can dig up any credible information on the web.

Hrmmmmm, I'll have to look that up... They may be customized however if we could find out who the original company was then you could probably find something similar and go from there. See, one of the things I do is take various cool stuff like that and recreate it in Second Life. I've already done the Highlander barge from the Paris episodes and thought the MacGyver boat would be a neato addition too. I guess I could just guess at the scale and recreate from shots of the series posted on the web and the DVDs that I have. Thanks for the help folks

I'm sure you can find reference shots on this site or others. In fact I remember seeing one that had images of all MacGyver's houses.
Perhaps you could answer who the company was that created the vessel then we could narrow down whether it was a custom job (one off) or whether it was a line they carried.

Wow, is that snow?!?!? In BC?!?!?! You guys get like what, 2mm of snow per year The rest of the time its rain! Great to see these photos!!! If Lands End ever sends in any more be sure to post 'em!! I've actually spoken with two different designers he figure something like that can be recreated and it would not be nearly as expensive as I would have thought. Some of the systems built today are ultra modern and use expensive building materials where for the most part that is wood frame construction on a floating platform. One of the designers wants as many reference photos as can be found to do the job properly. He said they'd get a kick out of doing the job cause he remembers the show vaguely.
