Most you probably already knew, but I just watched the Madonna and while I assumed the old lady was an angel, I realized at the end that she was the madonna. What made me catch that was at the end the madonna had the scrape on the hand just like the old lady got when she fell down when those punks were harassing her. Did anyone else already know that? I've watched it numerous times but never caught it.

And I just realized Dr. Zito probably isn't completely sane!!

Ok, just teasing. But yeah, I figured she was the Madonna about halfway through the episode, and the ending certainly confirmed it.

I loved the quality of surealism in 'The Madonna'... like the endings of 'Serenity' and 'Good Knight, MacGyver', when the fantasy crosses over into reality... only this time, the reality crossed back over into the fantasy.

I also got a chuckle when I realized the woman's name was Carol... as in 'Christmas Carol'...

Very lovely episode. Lots of Mac backstory to tantalize my fanfic writing brain!

One of the episodes that I have a hard time watching, especially when they sing I'll Be Home for Chirstmas, and the look in Mac's eyes as he is remembering that terrible Christmas from a long time ago.

I will confess, that one went totally over my head!!

And HOW many times have I seen that eppy?? But you're right. Very interesting... throws a whole new light on it.

I also love the scene when Mac leaves the performance and heads into the stairwell. And the moment when Pat tells him that his mom had been talking about "ice cream" before she died... well, that sealed it! Perfect.

Of course, nothing is proven. We are led to believe it was her, but it all could just be a coincidence. If one is not very spiritual, he can chose to ignore it.
