I hadn't actually thought about that. But your right.

You want fries with that?

I'd like to say the MacGyver movie for obvious reasons, but I've just been sitting here thinking about it and MacGruber is a pretty popular skit on SNL, I mean Pepsi wouldn't have used it to advertise themselves if it wasn't pulling in some serious viewer numbers, and I can't help thinking that popularity would lead a lot of people to go check out the movie (at least until the reviews start coming out saying how bad it is).
On the other hand MacGyver is a word that's thrown around a lot, and quite a few people have a vague idea of the show, but lets be honest, most younger generations haven't ever watched the show, they only know what it's about because they've read about it in Wikipedia. So if a movie does come out, they might be tempted to go see what it's all about so they really know what "MacGyvering" something really means.
Which actually makes it even more important that the producers get the movie right.
So it's pretty up in the air, but I think ,unfortunately, because MacGruber is current, more people know what it is, and I think people are more inclined to go to a movie they're fimilar with rather than one they no nothing about.

um.. did I just jump my own shark?
