I love the character of Beth. I like the rewrite version of Maria better, and the outcome with her. The character of Maria in the show is not one of my favorites but makes for a great antagonist for Mac and the heroine.

Sam is developed beautifully, the story is so descriptive that I can imagine it and I liked the friction between Mac and Nikki. There were one or two small things---like you reversed Chuck and Neil from the show. In the show, Chuck owned the store and Neil was the cop. Check eppy Blood Brothers. Also you mentioned Maria seeing her father, did you mean grandfather Otto? Maria's father was killed in East Germany when she was a little girl.

I would have liked to see the courtship, wedding and marriage of Mac and Beth, but that could be another story altogether. You made me want more so you did your job.
