I didn't want to hijack anyone else's thread even though there are a couple of close ones up right now. I was watching the Visitor (for the jacket

) and I noticed Mac mentioned to the shop that replaced his generator that he had recently installed a new one himself. I wanted to add up all the times he worked on a car or did/said something that demonstrated his car knowledge and skills. And did he make any references to any sort of a "career" or time spent as a mechanic? Obviously he was a race car driver, but his level of car knowledge is something that takes at least a couple of years on a hobby basis to accrue. Here is all I can remember:
The Endangered: Stole distributor cap to disable car
The Visitor: Referenced having replaced a generator (alternator)
Three for the Road: Used exhaust pipe as bazooka
Hellfire: Fixed missing carb spring on truck
The Prodigal: Loosened lug nuts, cut lower radiator hose, hotwired ignition
The Eraser: Wired cell phone into car's ECU/wiring harness
Trumbo's World: Welded connecting rod in small engine with a battery, cables, and quarters/half dollars
A Prisoner of Conscience: Mac used power steering fluid to restore brakes in absence of fluid
Bushmaster: Mac puts eggs in radiator to clog holes
