Out of the whole series, which episodes do you think are the best MacGyver-Pete episodes?

Which ones really show how close they were and how their relationship worked?


I know DOA MacGyver and Blind Faith will be in the list and I think Early Retirement would be there too.

What other ones are on the list?

I would say Passagers and The Survivors.

The Survivors is one of my favorites. Pete puts such faith in MacGyver friendship and the fact that MacGyver will give an honest evaluation.

Easy target is a good one. We open to some stress on their relationship- something that didn't happen too often. It had some Pete-isms too Showed how they had both rubbed off on each other in some ways.

One of my favorites is The Survivors and Passages. I think the episode Hind-Sight also shows (on flashbacks), how close they were and how their relationship worked on difficult times. I guess it would be a really good episode to put on this list.

Definately DOA MacGyver

Passages - I love when Mac reaches for Pete's hand towards the end

Blind Faith - I cannot watch this episode without crying. I love how the emotions RDA felt for Dana in real life were portrayed in this episode.

The Survivors - I agree with Geekgirl who said it showed how much trust Pete had for Mac.

DOA MacGyver - especially the scene where Pete convinces Mac to put down the gun ("Right now I know you better than you know yourself")

to name a few----I like how they have to rely on each other and Mac gives two more in Hind Sight "Deep Cover" and "Children of Light" when he needs Pete's help

I'd say the Survivors, Blind Faith, Easy Target.

And though Pete shows up for only a brief moment... The Widowmaker, when he comes to try and persuade Mac to come back.
Must add that RD's acting in that specific scene is downright heartbreaking (the hoarse voice) but the expression of hurt in Pete's eyes is just as crushing.

I'm definitely with Sheepy on Widowmaker... one of the most emotional scenes that Rick and Dana ever did together.

My other "serious" favorites: Passages, Blind Faith, Hindsight, On a Wing and a Prayer. My funny favorites? Out in the Cold and Jack of Lies, even though Pete shows up for only a brief scene in JoL:

"Well, I don't like it! The whole thing creaks. Makes me nervous."
Pete picks up his fast-food burger and is about to take a bite...
"Careful, Pete, you're on a diet. You know how you like to eat when you're nervous."

LOL! This just shows how well they had come to know each other in (presumably) a short time...
