I noted a news article this morning from the French news agency (AFP) titled "The Hollywood A-list behind militant anti-whaling group", about which Hollywood stars are supporting the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society.

The article called RDA a US soap star, which made my jaw drop. Have they not heard of MacGyver or StarGate??!!

Well, I hate to admit it, but a lot of people in Puerto Rico have no idea of who he is either They mostly remember Knight Rider because of the car (ah yes, I have no idea HOW much truth there is, but it is said that the new Knight Rider has quite the following in Puerto Rico. But then again, puertoricans are known for their love of cars )

And who couldn't love the new Kitt?



You would think though that a reporter would check their facts... oh... what am I saying? of coarse reporters don't check facts anymore. They don't do "real" journalism anymore it's all gossip and hearsay reporting these days.

Well.... he did star in General Hospital, which was (or still is, I dunno?) a soap...

But it is quite strange considering the fact that French television sometimes still reruns MacGyver.

I currently live in France, and I think He's pretty popular. he's usually on TV once a week (Wednesdays?) and a lot of my classmates and professors know who he is.

last week in fact we had some soda but no cups, so I pulled out my SAK and cut the tops off some small water bottles to make cups. one guy said, "Tu es comme MacGyver!" (You are like MacGyver).

they might have purposely not said MacGyver because the sea Shepard is getting bad press and MacGyver is still on the air over here, while his soap opera isn't.
