What was the first episode you ever saw of Macgyver? This question has probably been asked before lol...but am curious...smile.gif

My first episode was the Pilot and I thought it was a very good show smile.gif....I was 14 I think and my mam's friend was staying over and we watched it and thought it was excellent...I remembered RDA from Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and thought he was very cool as MacGyver smile.gif...I watched many other episodes over the series run...but this show has always held a special place in my heart smile.gif MacG.gif

Growing up with episodes like The Gun and Twenty Questions the oldest memories I have of Mac episodes belongs to Cease Fire, Halloween Knights, Lost Love and Out in the Cold.

My first episode was the Widowmaker, and I feel in love with the show at that point, i remember thinking he was the only person who didn't do drugs, use guns or be like the other shows was, he really inpacked my life and made me stay on the path of good.

My first episode was the heist, but i did see only the beginning from vhs what was recorded by my big brother and i had first third grade schoolday next day so i couldnt watch it completely back in fall 1986. By the way heist was the very first episode of macgyver that showed here in finland. Maybe first full episode was the gauntled wich get me interested of macgyver, specially opening cambit was great and whole episode was full of tricks. laugh.gif

The first episode I ever saw was the Pilot episode in it's original airing in this country. biggrin.gif

I was instantly drawn into the show, however it took me until season 3 before I realized I was fully hooked on the show beyond all reform. laugh.gif

"Thief of Budapest" was my first. I was 12, and I remember it was the end of a rough weekend because I'd gotten a bad grade at school and my parents were angry at me. It was love at first viewing, and for the next several years, no matter how angst-ridden the rest of my week was, for one hour a week I was out there saving the world with Mac. I've only watched "Thief of Budapest" a few times since then, mainly because re-viewings don't match up to the original magic at this point; but I do still love it.

They've got guns. All I have is orange juice and a rope...

My first episode was Pilot in May 2010. I had a pretty bad day and was shopping at Wal-mart when I saw the 1st season of MacGyver for $13. I'd heard it was a good show so I bought it. tongue.gif

No. Idea.

However, here's the comment I wrote about Gold Rush, it sorta relates to the question.

<I hadn't seen MacGyver since the series ended until the dvd sets came out, and over the years *this* was the episode I always pictured in my mind. I believe I only saw it once, sitting on the floor at my best friends house in front of their big, grampa & gramma-looking console tv, eating cookies if I remember right. smile.gif I had a smile on my face the day I popped it into the dvd player and sat down to watch again>

PS: "grampa & gramma-looking" tv means old and outdated btw, something you might find at your grandparents house. I didn't know if that was exactly clear from the way I wrote it.

The first episode I saw was Hellfire. I didn't see all of it, though. My mother used to watch Dynasty, which normally came on at 9pm, just after MacGyver. But that night, all of the shows were delayed for some reason, so when we turned on at 9pm, we ended up seeing the last half of "Hellfire." I thought it was great-- loved the tension as they tried to transport the explosives in the truck.

Funny thing is, I thought the two guys driving the truck were named "Mac" and "Gyver," because one guy kept calling the other one "Mac." So I figured the other one must have been "Gyver."
(hey, I was still just a kid, I didn't know any better!)

First one was of course the pilot episode.

Cant recall the exact date it was shown on Finnish tv-network, but most likely it was shown in december 1986 if the page I looked had correct info.
Man, just realised I was 8 years old when the series started here. So I got hooked on the show from then on.

We had videos so whenever I could not be around for the episode, I would have surely recorded them and watched later on.

By sheer dumbluck, I caught a rerun of the Pilot when I was a little kid.

After that, it was rather spotty. I saw episodes all over the place. So thank the multimedia gods for the DVD sets.

Actually, the Pilot's still my favorite episode. It perfectly captures the MacGyver spirit in a simple and engaging story, with charm to spare.

The Fonz was my first role model and when I found out that he was producing 2 new shows and I had to see them to support him. I saw Mr. Sunshine(The original about a cranky blind guy) and thought it was ok but when MacGyver's pilot episode came on I knew then that it was like nothing I ever saw or would ever see again. I was hooked right from the start:)

First eppy I ever saw was Runners. I think I found a rerun on USA once (this was before I was aware that the show was still running on ABC) and was hooked.
