I just came up with this 'idea' sort to speak since I have been watching Mac again now that I am moved. I call it Another way to watch MacGyver. I started of with the Jack Dalton episodes watching in no particular order and into Nikki's episodes and still carry on with it.

Anyway I came to realise you can divide the show in three different parts. I came up with this since I've seen the Friends episode. With the first set of episodes, I came up with the episodes what I think is what makes MacGyver MacGyver. All his adventures involving the recurring characters (not the actors) from throughout the show and the adventures that were used as flashbacks or talked about in other episodes. It also contains episodes even if the character just makes a cameo like Mama Lorraine in The Prometheus Syndrome.

The second set involving the Mac-Pete episodes but with none of the other recurring characters. Here also it contains episodes if Pete just make a quick appearance at the end of an episode like Gold Rush.

The third set just the Mac episodes without Pete or just involving peoples from his past but with no other relation than to Mac. So actually the Mac-episodes when he's out of his familiar environment.

So this is what I came up with it for the first set of episodes.

I like the idea i might do that.

I think I might try this too this way. There are many ways to divide it, like placing them in order of subject. Missions, sports, teens, getting hurt episodes. I think this wraps it up completely. Maybe (and I think especially with the last set of episodes) you can have an all other feeling to it. Depends on how you might or wanna get acquinted with the show.

Sounds really great. I guess I might be watching the episodes someday in little different style and maybe try the lists you have done here. Could even have the Murdock episodes on the list.

Right, I just started last week with the third set of episodes. I'll just reverse it.

Well, I just finished the third set of episodes that includes the movies. Didn't got the chance to watch every day though but I managed to get through. It is a strange feeling though if you watch all those episodes in that order. It's according to season nonetheless. He's a loner, works alone but still it's odd all those episodes involves either peoples he hardly knows or peoples unknown to us but go a long way back for him.

With Pete along it's going to be a whole new ball game and especially if watching the first set.

I'll check out the second set when I can but I have to much to gain from my dvd-collection. Too many other movies and shows but I'll try and keep you posted.
