Mac has taken Paul away from Stone's place, to have a 'man to man' talk. They hide in an alley, and Paul tells Mac that Stone is his friend, although Mac tries to convince him otherwise. When the bully who knocked MacGyver out earlier, finds Mac and the boy, Paul goes with him, assuring Mac they won't harm him (Paul). While Paul walks away, the bad guy points a gun at Mac, and Mac says: 'You heard what he said. Be nice.'
