We're bringing RICHARD DEAN ANDERSON to Dragon*Con!

From his neurosurgical beginnings on General Hospital to his inventive adventures on MacGyver, he battled his way through the Cosmos on Stargate....now he's going to Dragon*Con!


As many of you know, Paul Brown and Legends Memorabilia have been instrumental in taking Richard Dean Anderson to various events around the world to give his fans the opportunity to meet him in person. In following this same tradition, we are delighted to announce that we are bringing Richard to this year’s Dragon*con show in Atlanta, GA at the end of this month.

This will be Richard's only appearance at a fan event in North America this year and he will be signing autographs and participating in photo-ops on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. With such a vast number of people attending the show, we encourage visitors to obtain their autograph and photo-op tickets at the earliest opportunity in order to avoid disappointment.

Bit of extra information from Paul Brown regarding the RDA photo-ops at DragonCon:

"Normal policy is to allow 'couples' to be in the photo-op for one ticket only. Kids are free."

Also, the autograph ticket allows you to have only ONE autograph from RDA. Tickets are per item signed, not per person.

Actually the Stargate/RDA related business is only a small fraction of what Legends Memorabilia is so... I wouldn't be quite as dramatic in the way you look at it. Only because you happen to be very wrong.

For anyone here that's going, might be a good idea to look over these Dragon*Con rules of conduct, especially if you're going in costume and especially if your costume involves prop weapons of any type:

In light of recent events, organizers are asking fans to use comon sense when choosing costume prop-weapons.

No Zats that actually zat and no Light Sabers that really...saber!

A quick Google search and a look at their home page shows that they have been in business for 25 years and most of their work seems to involve sports celebrities and collectables.

That might be what Allie is referring to.

Yeah, pretty much nothing that can give people a boo-boo.

And also don't d*ck around with pretend weapons unless you want a very real decking by a security guard.

Of course I know about Legends. That was not my point. Let me elaborate a bit: I meant to say that Legends is a business, and RDA, through his association with Legends, is PB's most important asset. When Mr. Brown brings RDA to a con, he brings Legends too. RDA's proceeds go to charity, he doesn't gain from it. Brown does, through the selling of his other merchandise. So it is in Mr. Brown's interest to get RDA to cons. It's as simple as that, and that has nothing to do with genius. It's business. Without his association with RDA, Brown would have no business going to these cons, literally.
Mind you, I've got nothing against people doing business. I just think people should see things in perspective and not overreact to the 'genius' part of this.

The only thing I'm going to say is that you clearly assume way too much because most of it is wrong.

I continue to stand by my "genius" comment and while you are free to disagree, I find it insulting that you would chose the word "overreact" in association with my statement and I would like that either deleted or modified. By yourself or the moderator.

Come on, lighten up! The whole point of a forum is that people can discuss things and exchange opinions. I have given my view, you have given yours. We don't agree, and that's fine. I think a difference in opinion is no reason to delete or modify anything. If you feel insulted by an opinion that isn't yours, then perhaps you shouldn't go to the forum. If KiwiTek thinks otherwise, he's free to do whatever he thinks is right.
