Does anyone know if MacGyver plays the cello? I distinctly remember him playing the cello at the end of a dock at a pristine forested lake. Anyone know if this episode exists? Thanks!

No he doesn't. Your thinking of Airwolf.

In Airwolf the main character plays a cello to encourage a Bald Eagle to fly around him.

Mac plays Eau D' Leo in the Negotiator but I don't think he wrote the song. Murdoc however wrote the Cleo Rocks song.

I agree KiwiTek that manager is likely thinking of Airwolf. I immediately remembered the exact same scene. One of my very favorite scenes!! It still to this day makes me wish sometimes that I had taken up the cello...such a beautiful, mello, and serene sound!!

Was it than later it became a full song? Because what he played I've heard it before. Or maybe something that sounds like it though.

The short song that he's playing in his houseboat while Deborah is listening in does not sound exactly like Eau D'Leo. It does however sound like similar tones and rhythms as Leo Kottke. Whom I believe I saw RDA has as his guitar inspiration? Either way, they are both beautiful songs!!
