Which reoccurring MacGyver character would you most like to have seen in their own spin-off show?

I've specified reoccurring characters because I don't think you can really get a feel for a character from a one-off appearance, but if there is a on-off which stood out as being a great character feel free to add them.

Penny Parker, of course!!!! Like, duuuuh, it would have been awesome to see her trials, failures, misadventures and successes in becoming a professional actor! The series final would have been her landing the role on Desperate Housewives and living happily ever after. In fact that's what actually happened, Teri Hatcher's character on that show IS actually Penny Parker!

Ok ok, my imagination is a wonky tonight because I'm tired. Seriously though, I would have loved to see Murdoc hosting some sort of American Idol type show, it would have been wonderful hearing him argue with Pierce Morgan or Simon.

Call me weird, but I'd almost like to see a "young" Pete spin-off. Mac always looked up to Pete, so it's almost fitting. I just like Pete though... I'd like to know more about his background and what not. Maybe even throw in Murdoc as a main villian or something. XD

Well, The Coltons came close. If the pilot didn't fail, who knows. That would've been cool to see Mac as a regular on that show.

And I like their episodes really. Ma Dalton, Black Corsage, Second Chance, Black Rhino and Squeeze Play.

I think a show about The Challengers Club would've been nice too with Cynthia and RT Hines and a couple of other familiar faces like Breeze and Ray or Lisa Woodman.

Yeah, I think that would've worked. A show about teen problems and growing up and all that stuff.

But on other characters... I really care about Nikki. She's one of my favourites. She should've never left the show. She was really good. And she sure could've taken the lead in more episodes.

Murdoc I won't give him a spin-off but I'd give him a movie franchise with lots of sequels. And in one of those movies a face off with Agent 47.

No-ones said Jack Dalton yet??

Jack quick talking his way in and out of trouble; Getting into dodgy courier deals and even dodgier scams all over the world. I think if done right, it could have been a good entertaining adventure show, kind of like Tales of the Golden Monkey combined with Indy Jones.

To be dead serious... I thought about Jack, however... I think he would get on my nerves after a while. He's one of those characters that I love, but could only take in small doses. lol I mean, how often did he test Mac's patience? XD

I also thought about Cynthia. I sorta like the idea because I liked the Cynthia/Challenger's Club episodes a lot. Cynthia is one of my favorite reoccurring characters because I really feel for her, and she is a real trooper with everything she's been through and tries to be.

That's just me though. lol

in a sitcom-style show about a goofy, naive, ex-Soviet refugee trying to make it big in 1980's Los Angeles. Pair him up with a straight-laced LA yuppie for a roommate. I can just hear the laugh-track.

Sounds like that "Perfect Strangers" show



Good idea though

I've always thought "Dalton Air" could have been a show. Jack seems like the perfect character for his own show, considering that he owns his own plane and could get involved in all sorts of adventures that way. Also, in some ways, I like him more than Mac-- he's more fun and less sanctimonius.

Well, Jack does know how to have fun. He's the opposite of Mac in a way. Mac's a neat, straight out kinda of guy. Jack is sloppier and maybe has a light dark side. Getting involved with the wrong people and all that. But he wouldn't let you down.

How about a show with *both* Nikki and Jack??

You could have Nikki as the straight-laced boss, and Jack as the lovable rogue who can always get the job done... but in his own highly unconventional (and not-always-technically-legal) way. Now that I think of it, it has some faint echoes of MacGyver. Good potential for comedy there!

Or, how about Nikki as a conventionally-employed professional woman, and Jack as her loving but off-the-wall, frequently-in-trouble-but-not-really-criminal boyfriend. That would also have some potential for laughs.

Opposites attracted. But I don't think that would work. Nikki would never rely on someone like Jack Dalton. Or they would have a real bumpy start.

I vote for JACK. His ability to get in and out of trouble was always entertaining, albeit sometimes annoying and I think it would make for a great action/adventure/comedy/crime drama series.
