And another one for the nitpick subfora. When Victor gets bitten by the viper, Mac runs into forest. Though it has to seem they run into deep woods, Mac runs down the next hill with Victor after him. Then Victor trips and falls unconscious on the ground. Moments later when Mac patches himself and Victor up they talk about humanity and in the end Mac says he has to go. When they both get up and leave they actually go deeper into the woods instead of going back to the car. Why? If they just went back up the hill and walked straight forward they should've gotten to the road in a couple of minutes. Considering they were both injured they couldn't have ran that far into the woods.
