I took interest in this poll because I don't think we ever discussed the female antagonists of the show. And it appears to be more than I imagined. There are still names missing but in some occasions I have doubts because some characters kept switching sides.

Karen Blake was forced to work with Quayle and as it seemed she wasn't a bad person. Sara Ashford is another pair of sleeves. She set Mac up but decided to work with Mac in the end to put away her husband. Then there is Sandy the computer from The Human Factor. But I figured let the bad guys be human.

And there was also Carla Yates. Another tough call. She also didn't seem to be a bad person in the end after all even though she tried to kill Mac. It's kinda hard to say, I mean if you are so torn up over your sister's death that turned out to be sacrifice you can start doing things unintended. Like hurting friends.

I did add Ellen Jerico to the poll because she seemed more dangerous. She plotted directly against him. Setting him up and tried to kill him. She also seemed more calculated and to know what she was doing.

I've got to say though that even Santina hunted Mac, Pete and Jack down, it was interesting that she didn't seem to mind they got away in the end. She actually fought and even cared for her peoples while that didn't seem to interest Rafael anymore. Than coming to think she quit being a revolutionary and became a teacher. Does that sound like bad?

Interesting to know maybe is that some villains became villains out of love others just like men out of greed or political reasons (like Santina) or even psychological reasons.

I'm leaning towards Doborah the negotiator because she seemed to have the most substance and character. She came across as being very intelligent and creative, which she would have to be in order to be good at her job, and (I think) was the only villain who was ever able to fit right in with MacGyver's life style and get right under his skin without him even realizing it.

Ellen Jerico had more background and history then Deborah, but she was just a plain nutjob with an axe to grind. Deborah was cold, calculating and professional although she did admit to warming to MacGyver at the end of Unfinished Business.

Also she was one of the very few main characters. Most of the females where like assistants to the main bad-guy of the episode.

Well, you're right about Deborah. If she wasn't a bad guy, she might be the perfect girl for him. She would be someone who looks up to him but he could look up to her as well. She might show fragileness but can be very independent. The kind of girl he would offer help and she would appreciate it when needed but declines when she don't.

There are like others who were indeed just the assistant of the villain. Tara for instance just drove the RV in D.O.A. MacGyver. Lisa was just part of Jonathan's gang in Easy Target. Though it hasn't been said, she could've been his wife and him shooting her showed his coldness.

I don't know who exactly to vote for yet, but Deborah might be most interesting to begin with.

I picked Deborah too. I actually really like Deborah as a villain. I think she would have been a great reoccurring villain if they had let her live. She would have added some drama to the show, not to mention making it kinda tough for MacGyver since they had romantic history. I wouldn't really mind learning about Deborah's background actually... she must have a reason for being who she was. She's so pretty, but so cold... you wonder if she was just like that, or something happened to her that caused her to be like that.

I always just felt bad of Ellen. She seemed to have just snapped. I felt even worse for Mac because he probably blamed himself for it too.

I voted for Deborah. I haven't seen either of the episodes she was on in quite awhile but I remember how diabolical she was.

If I were to make a MacGyver movie, starring RDA, one idea I would try to flesh out would be that Deborah didn't really die, that unbeknownst to the audience, she had teamed up with Murdoc and that they were now working together.

I voted for Deborah because she is very cold, ruthless, and sinister. And she was able to infiltrate MacGyver's life and try to kill him several times. And that's a very interesting thought MacFan092985.
