Chocolate mint & banana icing birthday cake

Here's another banana (!) recipe, inspired by Penny's favourite cake from The secret of Parker house. My mum loves mint chocolate so I baked this cake for her birthday and she liked it (at least she said so

).

For the icing I used the same recipe as for the cream filling; whipped cream with peppermint oil.

Few cake recipes include both mint and bananas, hence there aren't any bananas in this cake, only for decoration.

It looks great and I'm sure it was delicious. I have to bake a cake for some friends next week, so I may try this recipe then. Thanks for posting it up here
