I remember we came up with better ones at some point but I can't find it.

Seems like ,with a few exceptions, we thought the tag lines on the DVDs were a little lack luster. Do you have a better one?

Here's what Paramount did. I highlighted the ones most favored in the poll.

S1 - "Always prepared for adventure"
S2 - "His mind is the ultimate weapon"
S3 - "Saving the day is all in a days work"
S4 - "He acts fast and thinks faster"
S5 - "The right man when things go wrong"
S6 - "Braver than most - smarter than the rest"
S7 - "Back in action - Ready for danger"

Yeah- I think we had come up with quotes from the show that fit better- (hopefully, quotes from an episode from that season would be best...)



Example-
Season 1- "I'm it, aren't I?"
Season 2- "You're the one who does the whatchamacallits, you know- MacGyverisms!"
Season 3- "Math and science do prove useful."
Season 4- "I call it an obstacle course. Some of the others call it 'MacGyverLand.'"
Season 5 - "You can do anything you want to do if you put your mind to it."
Season 6- "It's just that what I do is- well, it's tough to explain."
Season 7- "Walk in love, walk in service and you will walk in honor."
TV-Movies- "You're sure this will work?" "Nope" "Good, that's the MacGyver I know."

Hey those are good. I'll try to think of a few myself.

Hmmm... well I was thinking more of ways to describe MacGyver not quotes from the show but that's a good start I guess.

Yea like:

"Duct tape, chewing gum, and a SAK saves the world"

For season 7 I got one: "Goodbye MacGyver!"
Still thinking of the others.

"Have S.A.K., Will Travel" would have been a good one for S1!

For those who don't know there used to be a show called "Have Gun, Will Travel" so that's a very apt alteration for our non-violent hero.

So far, I like that one, Loth's "Have S.A.K., Will Travel" and Amy's TVG "You don't need a weapon when you're armed with imagination." the best.

Hmmz.... still cannot think of one myself.... bugger!!

Darn, it's difficult to think of some.

Season 1: It's amazing what a SAK can do.
Season 2: Going in the tank if you don't think a way out.
Season 3: You never know how dangerous nature is.
Season 4: It never hurts to get a little culture in your life.
Season 5: It's odd how things can work out.
Season 6: Mac, the good Samaritan.
Season 7: Goodbye, MacGyver.
TV-movies: Hunting and being hunted.

Someone on our Facebook site just posted a short clip of a video they are making about MacGyver, and they have a phrase in it that would make a good tag line for a DVD box

"The right man, in the right place, at the right time."

Just came up with another one, maybe a good one for season 3: He who helps the others, helps the world.
