What is the brand of the famous ma1 flight jacket? I Knowles that Mac weared different Ma1 jacket, but impossible to See the brand? Maybe is it an Alpha industries ? Itīs a mystery ...

I have alpha industries navy blue ma-1 jacket and it looks pretty close to the one what Mac uses in season three and four. Black version might be made by alpha also, but there is so many makers so itīs almost impossible to know correct brand.

One way to narrow the maker of the jacket down is to look at the brightness of the orange lining. Some are a bright orange and some are a more muted orange. Mac's was a more muted orange.

You can see the lining of Mac's Ma-1 in a scene in "Mask of the Wolf" when he and Jack are in the library doing some research. If I remember correctly, it's right when Mac stands up to leave the table and corrects Jack's reference to the walking stick, "Talking stick, Jack. Talking stick".

Other features that may help: is the shape of the front slash pocket flaps and the color of the zippers and the pull tabs. Mac's were silver, whereas some brands are brass colored. I owned a Ma-1 years ago and the zippers and pull tabs were painted blue to match the jacket.

Yeah my one's an Alpha industries as well. I think the differences between brands is pretty miniscule (other than the obvious shape difference we've talked about before) so I don't think it matters which brand you have, it'll be almost exact.

Somewhere in the forums here is a post from someone who either has or has seen the actual jackets warn by RDA in the show and has a picture showing the RDA written inside the jacket so they knew which was his and which was his stunt doubles.

I'll try hunting it down.

Mine came from the Army Surplus in Aberaeron, West Wales some years ago and has no tags or brand labels at all.

I've yet to find one that isn't really really puffy. I know the difference between the 2 Mac wore has been discussed. The ones I've looked at in surplus stores are all bulky like that though and I'd rather have the slightly longer, more form fitting version.
