Okay, I'm probably the only forum user on here who reads
The Last Dogs by Christopher Holt. But I thought I'd share this anyway. I realized that some of the characters bear a resemblance in personality to MacGyver characters. Let me explain what I mean. I'll try to be brief so that I don't bore anyone with unnecessary details because, like I said, I'm probably the only one on here who reads these books.
Max=MacGyver: Max is a yellow lab, who is the main character of the series. Like Mac, he is kind, thoughtful, and would do anything to protect his friends, or anyone else who needs it, even if it's an enemy. He prefers not to fight if he doesn't have to, but will if he finds it's the only way to save someone.
Rocky=Jack AND MacGyver: Rocky is a daschund, who cares mostly about food, but is also loyal to his pals, though somewhat fearful. For some reason, his attitude totally reminds me of Jack. He is the brains of the operation, and can come up with all kinds of cool ideas, such as rigging up a wagon and harness to carry food around when journeying instead of scavenging all over to find some (see why he reminds me of Mac, too?)
Gizmo=Penny Parker: Gizmo is a Yorkshire Terrier, and the only female in the trio. She is EXTREMELY energetic and optimistic, and is always eager for adventure (she and Rocky cancel each other out). However, unlike Penny Parker, I don't recall Gizmo ever being a damsel in distress. In fact, she's the one who has no problem running face-first into danger if she feels it's the right thing to do.
Dolph=Murdoc: Dolph is a wolf who is quite a bit like Murdoc. Both Dolph and Murdoc have scarred faces, have a strange obsession with killing the main character, and are
just a bit nuts. Both have had close encounters with fire, and are completely unstoppable.
Like I said, I might be the only one who appreciates this, but I though I might as well share it, just in case.
