I purchased a sign at a prop sale today in Vancouver. They were blowing out all there stuff the had in storage. I purchased a Dalton Air sign that they said was used in an episode. But I am not too sure ? I have done a little research and found there was a Dalton Air, but no reference to Air Charter Services ?

Hi Steve,

Just off the top of my head, check the episode from season 3 called Rock the Cradle. At the very start of the episode just after Jack has landed his plane after MacGyver parachuted out of it they walk into Jacks hanger, and I think there's a sign beside the door.

I checked it out and the sign in that episode is just a generic sign.
The one I bought says Dalton Air

The other episode it might be from is Jack of Lies from season 2.

It may have been on the wall of the hanger where MacGyver goes to pick up all his gear.

Another thing to consider is authentic props usually have a certificate of authenticity with them.

Even if it's not authentic, that's a pretty cool MacGyver related sign so Your in a win win situation. I'll have it if you don't want it.

I think its authentic. I just need a way to verify it. I bought some other props that I was able to verify from some other movies. It was from a really old prop house that had to move because the rent was too high. Thanks for all your help. And even if wasn't used like you said i have a pretty cool MacGyver related item. I only paid 15 bucks for it.

Nope not an April Fools joke. Just trying to figure out what to do with it. I dont have a free wall in my house to hang it.

Just as a bit of an aside; The Air Dalton clothing in our store has an emblem which looks like it's based on this sign. I've always wondered where they got that emblem from for the clothing, now I just figured it out.

I volunteer at The Wings Over The Rockies Air and Space Museum in Denver. (www.wingsmuseum.org) I'm sure I could get the curator to hang that sign somewhere where it would be seen by thousands of visitors each year. I could even create signage explaining the significance of the sign, the episode it was used on, how you came to own it etc. Let me know.
