Well I was thinking of making a casualties list but this involving all deaths in the show. I think the list would be very extended on both friends and non-friends. I think in almost every season someone close to Mac dies.
There was Grotsky in Thief of Budapest. Charlie in Countdown, Tony (I think that was his name) in Three For The Road. Booker in The Challenge. Kyle Henderson in Jenny's Chance. If you could consider Victor from Humanity a friend. Tony in Bitter Harvest. Richardson in Blind Faith, not exactly a friend though but more of a contact and there also was Paul in Trail To Doomsday.
I think that pretty much sums it up along with yours for the deaths of his friends. That would make it about twelve peoples. I always have had my doubts about Lisa in Lost Love considering Mac acting pretty normal in the last scene if that was set the same day after their great escape while getting the Ming Dragon back.

I think that about covered them...
Booker, Victor, and Mike...I was so sad when they died.

I wouldn't include Victor or Richardson as friends. I'm not sure I would count Tony as a friend either. He didn't know any of them before he meet them in their respective episodes and had no bond to any of them, although I think he and Tony would have become friends had Tony survived his "MacGyver experience".
And I just thought of Tim Wexler from Flames End.
The list so far is....
Grotsky................ Thief of Budapest Dr. Charles Alden.. Trumbo's World Charlie Robinson .. Countdown Tony Sullivan........ Three For The Road Tim Wexler........... Flames End Danny Barrett....... Fire and Ice Mike Forrester....... Widowmaker Lisa...................... Lost Love. Booker................. The Challenge. Kyle Henderson..... Jenny's Chance Father Jim............. There But For The Grace Earl Stringer.......... The Prometheus Syndrome

Well, I think Mac says to Alex when they found Tony's blood and that button in Bitter Harvest that despite he didn't know him very long he considered him a friend.
And Joe didn't die in The Prometheus Syndrome that was Earl Stringer. Something I tought of this morning.

There was also Professor Willis from Ugly Duckling. MacGyver wept over his body after he died, so I would think he was someone close to Mac.

And how could we forget Father Jim in There But For The Grace? If he knew the black and blue code from their hockey days, it means Mac and him go a long way back.

Harry was a mentor and a relative but also most definitely a buddie & friend. Most relatives that I have are only 'tolerated' at family functions a few times a year. If I'm going to pro hockey games, on fishing excursions and otherwise sharing adventure .... especially when pushing 40 .... FRIEND!
