Hi everyone, I wanted to let you all know that I will be trying to sell some of my G-2 bomber jackets. They are all in really good shape and I have a few Schotts, one Scully, and one Avirex that I would like to sell at some point. Someone I know is doing the listing for me because I'm rarely home due to work.

I can answer questions concerning the jacket itself right here but questions relating to the actual listing (payment, etc.) should be directed to the seller who can be contacted through eBay at the below link. Specific details will be listed with each listing include measurements, etc.

The first one listed is a size 44 by Schott that can be found at the following link:
G-2 "RAIDER" STYLE AVIATOR BOMBER JACKET

It's in great shape and has retained much of it's darker color though the lighter brown is starting to show through. It has a great patina and no flaws or musty odor sometimes associated with these jackets. The measurements can be found on the listing. Also, being that it was made so long ago, a size 44 fit much differently than a garment in a size 44 would today. To put it in perspective, I am a 5'10" 155 lb male and it fit me pretty well, maybe a tiny bit big. A size 44 by today's standards would be way too big for me though. Hope this helps as I know sizing can be frustrating when buying clothes online.

Thanks denizen! When I originally bought it I was really surprised when it arrived because of the condition it is in. This is one of the nicest Schott G-2's I've come across. For its age the jacket is in really good shape and the fact that it retained the darker color so well might mean it hadn't been worn much by the original owner(s). Many of these come from estate sales, etc. so it's definitely possible that it was sitting in a closet unnoticed for a long time, haha.

Yep, it captures Mac's essence really good and gives me a classic sort of feeling since he has his shoulder bag with him.

When I see the words "raider jacket" the first thing that pops in my mind is the trend from the early 90s where teenagers thought it was cool to all run around in Oakland Raiders jackets. I was a teen at the time too, but thought it was so stupid seeing all these kids to walking around malls wearing the same coat. Like, why?

Lol yes I remember that as well. To be honest I was never really a fan of those jackets and didn't own one, haha. I think it was the huge number of people that had them. Funny you mention this though, because I was on eBay yesterday looking to see if there were any of the G2 bomber jackets for sale and one of the search queries I use sometimes is "raider." Those 90's jackets constantly come up lol! It seems like unless a person is a fan of Mac, or knows about bomber jackets in general, they're not always aware that this bomber jacket was known as a raider. Most people on eBay probably just look at the tag inside the jacket to see what the name is I guess. Good to hear from you, hope you've been well.
