Hah! I like this theory

So what happens to him once he's shouted the magic word, I wonder?
Does he simply bounce off whatever was going to kill him?
Does he fall into a suddenly-open portal and get spat out some time later in (for example) the cellar of HIT headquarters?
Does he gradually pull his splattered form back together like the T1000?

The impact knocks him out but doesn't kill him. He wakes up feeling battered and bruised but manages to get away before anyone finds him.
