I'm sure some of them were factory errors, at least is any of them were made by machines. And if a guy has been working on labeling different items for hours, he might get a little mixed up if he's not paying attention. I wonder if some were done as a joke, just to see who catches them?

Some maybe but seriously, who would put a lightswitch near a door opening preventing the door from closing for example? Seen so many pictures of construction fails that makes me wonder how incompetent some people are. Personally I prefer to have a house that is ready rather than to start (re)building the whole thing and having to deal with that sort of incompetence and having to rush the people you hired because they're doing it all wrong or too slow.
