If you had to choose one episode to act as a "flag ship" for the show; an episode which best promotes the show and it's various attributes, which episode would it be?

That's a tough one because there are way too many good episodes. They're all good in their own way.

If I had to pick one, I'd say Deadly Dreams from Season 4. It's more of a personal preference because not only does it show just how smart MacGyver really is, but it also shows how compassionate he is towards others. It's dark, but has it's humorous moments.

I just love the scene where MacGyver shows Zito his plan. Talk about being a "bad-a**" without even trying. lol There are some good moments with him and Pete as well.

I just think it's a well rounded episode. Plus, he has his awesome leather jacket and Jeep... so what's not to love about that? XD

Legend of the Holy Rose. It's actionpacked. A spectacular escape with a home-made airplane. Than a hesitating start of an adventure with a great cliffhanger followed by a race to find the Holy Rose and the elexir of eternal life. Yeah, if'd seen a promotion on this back in the day, I would have stayed home to watch it.

I think the poison that was used was applied to this knife, passed to the mutton when it was cut and then activated by the wine. - MacGyver.

As Jediferret said that it is difficult to choose "flag ship" because there are many good episodes, but for me that episode is the Lost love. Do not missing there the Love, action, friendship... and I remember on that green dragon when I watched the MacGyver as a child. And at the end sorry for my english it is not on best level.

I think the best "flagship" episodes come from the first 3 seasons. A lot of these episodes seem to emphasize the core value much more than later episodes in my opinion. Not sure I can pick one though.

It's difficult because the character changed through the years.
As a promotion episode maybe I would choose "The human factor" because he can outsmart even a computer with his human factor and Pete's friendship. There are also some MacGyverisms.
