Xbox is from Microsoft, they require updates just like a computer. But I think PS too. I still have an old PS3, at least 6 or 7 years old and it's not connected to the internet. I didn't look at PS4 during Black Friday but to buy a new one is temporarily out of the question. 400,00 euro is a bit above budget I'm afraid.

I wouldn't normally go out an buy one because im a millionaire. biggrin.gif

They were around 80 Euros cheaper than normal price so i HAD to fold. Also, i already had a buyer for my 360 so technically speaking i only paid around 100 euros for an Xbox One. THAT'S why i jumped. smile.gif

Yes, updates suck. But i look forward to December 1st. Then i can start up my updates again. biggrin.gif

Been looking around and managed to find two games to add to my collection for the XB1. Got them for a steel. Namely Fallout 4 (Steelbook Limited Edition with Postcards) & Star Wars Battlefront! Woopee!

This game has stunning graphics! Personal computer games have certainly improved over the years.

Unfortunately, I receive an enormous amount of workload, along with having three children can be challenging at times; that being said gaming is out of the question. smile.gif

After all, I must say it looks rather enjoyable to play! thumbsup.gif

Nice find with Fallout 4 denizen!! I hope you enjoy it! Everyone knows how obsessed I was with Fallout 4. XD

I got to play a bit of the campaign for Gears of War 4 last night. VERY fun so far! I've missed the Lancer so much... lol

Thanks Jedi. Have also been able to get Resident Evil Origins Collection (should be arriving by the end of the week). And speaking of Resident Evil, I downloaded Revelations 2 last night.

MacGyver1985, believe me, i totally get it. Its any wonder i have any time to play games. Most of my game playing is done at midnight and by then im usually too tired to play anyway. biggrin.gif

What line of work are you in if i may ask?

Nice! Resident Evil Origins is a good one. I love both those games, though I haven't played Resident Evil Zero in ages. I recently played the remake of Resident Evil on the 360, but have yet to get it for Xbox One. I may have to get that one myself in the near future. wink.gif

I have heard that Resident Evil 2 is currently in the remake process.

I've played a little of Revelations 2, as I got the first part from a friend. The first Revelations was actually really good. I was surprised. I was a little irked that Capcom didn't rehire Alyson Court as the voice for Claire in Revelations 2 though.

But don't get me started... that's tangent waiting to happen. XD

I have been out of the Resident Evil gig for so long, ill probably not even notice the difference. biggrin.gif

I played ResEvil 1-3 and completed them and then played Gun Survivor and Codename Veronica. Then i played Resident Evil 4 for a little but stopped playing near the beginning somewhere. From there i just stopped playing them altogether so this is big progress for me. biggrin.gif

Hi Denizen, I am an accountant... I do the daily grind of taxation and all that. Not very glamorous, I know! But I enjoy the way all data must recon in the end! biggrin.gif And yes it can be highly frustrating... especially when clients just drop all their paperwork, stuffed in a shoebox, by me! Sometimes it becomes a seek and find mission. smile.gif

Well, I finally started playing Revelations 2 and its...okay. Same old appeal as the other Resident Evil games with a slight twist to the story. It is a little annoying though as Claire Redfield can never hold the torch. Only Moira can hold it which becomes annoying as she takes her sweet time to point it in the direction you need it in like yesterday!

Still, fun you play, and look forward to getting my Resident Evil Origins which i doubt i will receive this weekend unless they do a last minute drop off delivery. Crossing fingers!!!

I see they also have available on digital download Strider. Man! I remember Strider. Came out back in 1989 and was a huge hit. 2D plat-former similar to Ninja Gaiden. Now they've rebooted it but only available as a digital purchase. Looks quite good andf might consider getting it sometime.

Strider? Guess what name a certain character used in a game I'm playing right now. tongue.gif

I'm playing Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest now. The story is told by Sam to his children and during the story you play Aragorn and you have to lead the fellowship through the locations of the movies. Besides the story you play as Frodo Gamgee, Sam's son and you are able to play or either help out other Hobbits in The Shire where a big event is being prepared because King Aragorn is coming to visit. The bits in The Shire are set 15 years after the events of the movies and Sam is now mayor of The Shire.

Despite it's an obvious children's game it's still somewhat challenging. The Shire is all fun and games, bright colors. You can help the other Hobbits, test out attractions of the party or do gardening, or play with the Hobbit children mostly events from the movies. The story itself is darker but follows the movies mostly and contains quotes. It's fun no matter what.

Welcome back denizen!!! biggrin.gif

I've haven't been able to play any Xbox games, as my modem has been on the fritz with my Xbox. During the troubleshooting process, err... things happened and now I can't use the Xbox at all until I replace the modem.

So, I've been playing Sims 4 again. XD

Hi Jedi! smile.gif

My problem is slightly similar but my internet works just fine. Final Fantasy XV requires a 10gb update before I can even play it!!!

Don't have unlimited data and even recently downgraded to save on some costs so have to wait till midnight. biggrin.gif

Ouch! How long would 10GB take you to download? It would take many, many hours for me. =(

Whatever the issue was I had with XBL seemed to have fixed itself. *shrugs* Must have been the holidays.

I'm still going to look into replacing my modem regardless, and hopefully upgrade my internet to wireless. I'm not sure yet though.

In the mean time, I did a quick Twitch stream today showing off some mods I got for Fallout 4. Makes the game a bit unstable and, for some odd reason, causes graphical problems during streaming, but the mods are cool.

Cool mods are all that's important! lol

Anyway, enjoy me talking like a blubbering idiot! biggrin.gif

Hey Jedi, took about 3-4 hours to get the 11gb update but I have it now. Still haven't played it yet but hoping to soon happy_dance.gif

3-4 hours doesn't sound that bad unless you're waiting for it. XD I'm wired to my modem, so if I'm on my Xbox, I can't do anything on my laptop.

Remember back in the day when you could just put in a disk and you could just play? lol

Well I finished The Quest of Aragorn in only three days. Now I'm playing Kill Zone 2 and I can tell you, it sure is intense. I never played Kill Zone... (Heeeey, Kill Zone, get it? tongue.gif) so I don't know the complete story though, something about Helghast taking over planet Earth and this second game is set on Helghast's planet and he has the huge army, seemingly of men in suits with orange/red lit goggles and you play Sev doing all sorts of missions with your army pal Garza and mostly cleaning up the place or sabotaging enemy equipment. I think I was really in need of a shoot em up game like this. It had been way too long. Last year, I barely touched my PS3 because I was so busy with Tomb Raider at the time. And I still need to play Last Revelation, Chronicles and the PS3 games. I thought to get through there in one play but Tomb Raider 3 was so large that I can do without for a while and play other games first.

I am pretty new to the whole gaming thing...the last video game I played was on my PS2 a long, long time ago. My wife and I broke down and bought a PS4 Slim with Uncharted 4, Star Wars Battlefront, Lego Jurassic World and Abzu for my son.

I can't really talk intelligently on video games. We don't play online or anything like that, but we enjoy playing it for an hour or so every few days. The Abzu game for my son has beautiful graphics and is actually very relaxing. I really enjoy Uncharted 4 and Star Wars.

That's really everything I know about the video game world, summed up in just a few lines of text...LOL.

Quick question for you people who might know: what's the difference between the two "MacGyver Deadly Descents" on Amazon? I know that one is a larger file size than the other. One costs 99cents and the other is free. Is one better than the other?

Thanks in advance! happy.gif

I finished Killzone 2. Great intense videogame and less than mildly frustrating. The train level and the final boss level were the hardest. But it was a great action game. Am I getting back in touch with shoot em games. I know there is a third game and of course a first game. Though I was never intending on expanding my PS3 collection. Just play them and sell the ones that are also available PS4 by the time I can hopefully afford a PS4. But there is one more franchise I might buy first and that is Dead Space. Maybe I should check out that second hand store in town.

MacFan77, there is nothing intelligent to say about gaming. I don't play online either, I play the game for the game. The main storyline and that's it.

MacFan77, that's awesome! I really want Uncharted 4 but it's a PS4 exclusive and I've got an Xbox One. I did get Star Wars Battlefront & it's fantastic!

MacGyver85. It's possible the free version is only a portion of the game & the 0.99 one is the full version.

MacGyverGod, well done! biggrin.gif

And now I'm playing Kane & Lynch Dead Men. A game that perhaps remind a bit of Hitman. Kane & Lynch are two escaped convicts. Kane's wife and daughter are kidnapped and the gang who took them wants Kane to find their loot back they think he stole. Lynch is supposed to keep an eye on him. Kane is a violent killer and Lynch is a schizophrenic trying to keep his condition under control with pills. It's another outrageous game that stood on my shelf for way too long. All the more interesting to find this certain gems that I have had all this years.

It is. Last mission was set in Japan. First a dancing and you have to escape there with an unconscious woman and the place is full and there are guard, than there is a roof escape, the freeway and something of a temple. They got snipers so you have to call your boys to take them out and the ground man have machine guns so it is rather trying sometimes. In case you get shot, you get adrenaline to survive. Do you get a second one shortly after you overdose. It's quite insane. It's like playing a violent movie.
