Wow, you made out like a bandit denizen!
I got StarCraft 2 for free on PC, but it's just a base game, no extras. The friend I play Diablo 3 with got me into it. It's actually kinda fun!

I got Assassin's Creed 3 for free! I started playing that, but haven't gotten very far yet. I'm kinda in the market for a new game now since Andromeda is over. I could replay, but that game just makes me sad now... XD
I have gone back to playing a little Fallout 4 after finding a mod that plays Awesome Remix Vol. 2 from Guardians of the Galaxy... ya know how cool it is to take out Deathclaws with a gauss rifle to Mr. Blue Sky?

Yup. Sounds about right.
I haven't had much time to play anything but still have all my titles awaiting me when i get the chance.
Its also been a pretty grueling week for Xbox without any backward compatibility updates for 2 weeks now after they were slammed by PS4 Head that they backward compatibility is hardly used by anyone.

I think the backwards compatibility is great for long time Xbox users like myself. A lot of games I used to play Ion the 360 I can now play on the One, though it still takes up space on my hard drive... =P
It is a good way to pass the time while I wait for new games to get released. E3 is coming up, and Bethesda is starting tomorrow night, I believe. So there's all kinds of rumors. Fallout and Skyrim, for sure. Plus a game called Starfield? I guess we'll find out in a day or two. XD
I'm wondering if we'll hear anything from BioWare.... =/

Need For Speed Payback looks awesome though it's quite obvious where they got their inspiration from.

Yup! You're right. That game has Smokey and the Bandit written all over it.
Jedi I totally get it. And for that reason over and above many others, on the weekend i decided to get me another 360.
I had more fun with my 360 than i have ever had with my 1. They even had 2 games going for around $4 which was so awesome!
So the new try outs are:
The Bureau This is a science fiction video game based on X-COM series released back in 2013. Set in the 1960's you play agent William Carter in a third person style game where alien forces have launched an attack on the planet and you have to fight your way through it. Similar to many other games but with a 60's feel to it, makes for a fun experience.
I also got my hands on Square Enix's Nier. This game is actually part of a series called Drakengard. You control Nier, a character to tries to find a cure for his daughter who has become victim of an illness called the Black Scrawl. Partnering with a talking book known as Grimoire Weiss (Yes, a talking book), you have to find a cure and try to figure out creatures waling the planet known as Shades.
Game reminds me of a dozen others like Final Fantasy, Castlevania as you explore some pretty big worlds. Its a fun game and looks quite promising.
At E3 Microsoft has announced backward compatibility for the original Xbox on the XB1 starting fall of 2017! So awesome!!!!

Man, some great titles got announced!
I'm a little disappointed though that there's no information on a new Fallout game. I've heard that Obsidian (who made New Vegas) is making the next installment. Mostly likely to continue their stories based on the west coast. The biggest rumor is we might get a New Vegas 2, or possibly a New Vegas remaster. I would much prefer a new game over a remaster. Fallout 4 VR doesn't count Bethesda! I want something new damnit! lol
Edit: Nevermind, I just found out the whole Obsidian thing was a fake. *grumbles*
I think out of all the games so far, I'm really looking forward to Metro Exodus. That game looks amazing!
Anthem and Evil Within 2 looks awesome as well! I'm keeping an eye on those two for now. Anthem looks like they combined Mass Effect with Destiny. I'm not a big fan of Destiny though, so I'll have to watch it for now. One of my friends seems to think that may be why Andromeda didn't do so well, because BioWare was so focused on Anthem.

Strangely i have never really gotten into Wolfenstein. Doom,no problem. But not Wolfie. Didn't really pick up on the Alien references though unless you are referring to the characters.
As for Metro Exodus, yes, it looks good but a bit dark and i usually hate games that are too dark simply because they are difficult to see when playing. But most games are dark-ish i guess.
Anthem looks interesting and Evil Within 2 also. I have the first one, although i haven't had much time to play it.
And as for the backwards compatibility to the original Xbox games, woohoo!!!

Just look at that machine's teeth. I had a PC-game of that once, Return To Castle Wolfenstein but never finished it. The game got lost or something through the years. But the last one I played like a year ago was actually simply called Wolfenstein and they made the jump to PS3 with that game back in the day. Later Wolfenstein The New Order was released. I kinda liked Wolfenstein, it's like the only game series that still exist to this day that deals with World War II. In the early 2000's Medal of Honor and Call of Duty were competing with each other with WWII games but than they decided to make it modern warfare. At that point I sort of lost interest in shooters. Nothing beats a good WWII game. During the later evolutions and the coming of PS3 amongst others the WWII game sort of died out. Medal of Honor Airborne still made it on PS3, just as Call of Duty: World At War and of course Wolfenstein. So actually both game series still made at least one game and Wolfenstein two games. Yes, it follows an alternate timeline in which Germany won the war by creating monsters and übersoldiers with their own advanced technology but there are still some resistance fighters, including your own character Blazkowicz. At first I wasn't for the sci-fi take on the war either but Wolfenstein made me change my mind.
What else is coming?
Quantic Dream seems to make great progression with their latest game called Detroit: Become Human. Another game in style of Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls. A cinematic adventure that mixes action with deep emotion and in which the player has to make choices that would influence the game's progress. I think it must be now like three years ago, perhaps even more that the character Kara made her debut in a demo video which was originally meant to show the abilities of the software engine. They eventually decided to make it a full blown game. Here you can have a look at Kara's, Conner's and Marcus' trailer. Three playable characters in the game.
This is an extended trailer. Starting at 2:42 was the actual debut or should I even say, birth of the character.
And lastly:
This looks awesome too.

I love a good WWII game myself. I used to play the Medal of Honor games like crazy. I also loved Commandos. I played a little of the original Wolfenstein but that was it. Never went back. I never disliked it. I just never got around to it.
Uncharted looks awesome. But i hate that its a Playstation exclusive!
Wish all the console companies would be nice and share their love.
Detroit also looks very interesting. Some cool things coming soon.

Well...
it seems I stand corrected.
Anyway when it comes to exclusives, it means they want to make sure everybody buys their stuff and not someone else's. There has to be some competition or everything falls apart, I guess.

Yup, i have seen the trailer to COD: WWII. Looks good indeed. I was hesitant to keep it on my list of games to get though because i hated Battlefield 1.

Because a new WWII game is coming after all. I thought that they were no more.
So what was wrong with Battlefield 1? It looked awesome.

Just before the long weekend i picked up Halo 3 & 4 for next to nothing to give them a try. I have actually never played any of the Halo games and when i started playing, it was a neat game. Nothing too spectacular. But the more i played it, the more i realized that this is a solid game with flawless programming. The music, the graphics, the game-play. Smooth as silk. I am only playing Halo 3 at the moment but its a top game and my most played right now. 2 thumbs up!

Back when I first got on XBL, which was about 10 years ago, I met my friends Lucas and Nathan (Nathan is in the above video). We used to play Forge mode in Halo 3 a lot. They were evil.... XD They'd produce a spawn point in a box, and have explosives rain down on the box. They'd kill me and watch me get frustrated as I continuously died trying to escape.
They thought it was hilarious.
Good times, good times... XD
As per tradition for my bday, I played Rainbow 6: Vegas 2 while hanging out with friends.

Im still reaping the fun of Halo at the moment but did recently order Castlevania Lords of Shadow for next to nothing as well as Tomb Raider Anniversary. I have never actually played Anniversary before so I'm looking forward to it.
As for Castlevania, always been a fan of the series. There is even a new animated Netflix Castlevania series coming out soon

It's been itching lately to continue my Tomb Raider project with the fourth game. Yet, other matters were/are at hand, but I still intend to play that one next. And I also have to play Chronicles and Legends after that before I can get to or want to play anniversary but I think it's an exact copy of the first game only with update graphics. Than again I could be wrong too. That shot sure looks familiar.

Currently playing Lego Pirates of the Caribbean. Another game in the Lego series, just as I have Lego Indiana Jones. It follows the first four movies with Lego based levels on locations of the movies, destroying and building things to earn the coins with their own nice little twists. What I also like very much on these games just as with Indiana Jones is that they use the actual score of the movies in the game, so you have all the rousing Pirates themes while you play the game. Another great game to play with your kids. Only on some moments in the game as in the level where you and Elizabeth are trapped on the island there is an underground area filled with water that you can't reach the bottom to get all the coins, so that needs a character that needs unlocking and that can dive deeper like maybe one Davy Jones's crewmembers. Just as you need smaller characters for crawlspaces. The entire gameplay is the same as with Indiana Jones where you needed Short Round in the crawlspaces. It's the same set up and gameplay but they're fun.

Would you believe i have still not played any of the Lego titles but i believe they are very good indeed. My friend used to go nuts for Indiana Jones Lego. Even the Jurassic World one looks good.
I eventually got around to playing Tomb Raider Anniversary and although i still prefer the original, they did a few improvements on the remake (Of course). Running a completely new engine, improved graphics and a lot of nods to the original games with lots of references to them included in Lara's home. The music is composed by Troels Brun Folmann who uses his on themes but on occasion uses a few themes from Nathan McCree.
Coincidentally the original voice for Lara was going to be reprised as well as Nathan McCree returning to compose a new score but sadly this did not happen as Core no longer had rights to create the game. Still, i can only imagine how cool that would have been.
The game is much bigger now and more stable. Gameplay is similar to that of Legend seeing as it was developed by Crystal Dynamics.
Not bad.
At the moment i am playing my Halo Master Chief Collection which basically includes the first 4 games. Currently playing the first. I am quite impressed with this series. It really is every bit as fun and impressive as the hype made it back in the day.

Kids games of course but they're fun. Now I'm ideed running hot for the Jurassic World Lego game, even though I didn't like the last movie.
I don't know how or when yet but I intend to play Last Revelation soon.

I recently dug up my PS2 and have placed it with the others. There are a few things i want to do such as getting a wireless controller for it and a new memory stick but will also need a converter if i wish to play it on my TV since it takes the old AV connection. Then i can play some old PS1 & 2 games.
