my poor country is overload about Sicarios, Carteles, drugs, etc... but is ok, is our reality ... sadly
but, in the Dia de Muertos??? oh please! I'm honored that the day be known around the world but... this remember me the begining of 007 Spectre James Bond movie ...
I saw the trailer... At what time it was filmed? in 80's?? *poor characterization of my country again*
whatever, let's watch... *for me, until december*
*so happy that George E. & team have came to Mexico.... even in the fantasy!!*

I preferred the promo pictures, honestly
Glad to confirm Jack's not tagging along, though. I think his loud, opinionated nature better fits him trying to save Mac, instead of tagging along whining the whole time

Not clear yet what that rerun is. Also, that means that they dropped another premiere plus the initially scheduled second rerun. Instead of the Christmas-Episode 3x11, Episode 3x10 will now be the midseason finale.
Good thing: No cliffhanger-y plot twist just before Christmas hiatus. Bad thing: The Christmas episode will now air after Christmas. Bit unusual.

Not sure what numbers they're looking at - probably the +7 Days Ratings (so live-viewers plus DVR for a week).
MacGyver is No. 40. Other CBS-Crime-Shows:
3) NCIS 10) FBI 11) Blue Bloods 18) Bull 19) NCIS: NO 24) NCIS: LA 27) Hawaii Five 0 33) Magnum P.I. 36) S.W.A.T. 37) SEAL Team 40) MacGyver 44) Criminal Minds

Well they finally got some sneak peeks out for this show.
Personally, I don't even watch them, so I don't really care, but if they're gonna continue to release sneak peeks for other shows, MacGyver must receive the same treatment.

Geez MacGyver is second from last.
Not good. Even Magnum is higher up the chain and it's only a few episodes in.

Yes, but technically Magnum does worse because it's only in its first Season while MacGyver is in Season 3, SWAT and SEAL Team in Season 2.
So if you want to compare, you should compare it to the first Season of MacGyver and that one had way better Ratings - it started with 11 Million Viewers in the Pilot (Magnum had 8 Million), so that affected the Episode averages.

Yeah I was looking at it from the point of view that MacGyver is a better established show and should have a stable fan base watching every week, but Magnum is still somewhat of an unknown.

MacGyver is a Friday show when viewership is generally down. Shows on other nights (excluding Saturday) are expected to have better viewership numbers. BTW of the 3 CBS Friday shows, only MacGyver has competition from 5 scripted shows. Blue Bloods has nothing but news and H50 has a food and game show. Of course, I would love to see better numbers for Mac. Here's hoping.
As you can see, MacGyver is mostly watched live and only gains plus 19% in audience within 3 days; while Shows like "Criminal Minds" or "Bull" gain another 50%. But despite SWAT and "Seal Team" gaining so much more in DVR and all Shows airing on different days, they ended up with almost the same audience last week.
So the 6 crime shows with the lowest audience numbers are all between 7 and 8 Million Viewers, no matter the live-audience number and the timeslot. Not sure if that will matter in decisions regarding cancellations. MacGyver sure is in a favorite Position, because its famous brand Name, the lower cost (than e.g. Criminal Minds) and the fact that it only needs one more Season for Syndication).
Actually, even the fact that it's mostly watched live might help it because that's where the Money is. For example, the additional 50% that watched "Bull" in DVR probably skipped the Commercials. It lost millions of live-viewers due to the new timeslot; competing against "The Good Doctor". It might have a higher final audience number than MacGyver, but it doesn't bring that much more money as it could and should - contrary, the loss is even worse because Monday Commercial minutes are more expensive than the Commercial minutes on Fridays and Bull lost about 30% of last season's audience; so a lot of ad-value in live-viewing that it can't win back in DVR.

Yes, MacGyver has bigger competition in "Last Man Standing"; certainly bigger than "Blindspot" as the most "dangerous" competition show in the same timeslot last year. It probably won't beat the demo-rating for LSM anytime soon, but it actually did beat the audience number last Friday, so that's something.

Yep, and Last Man Standing and MacGyver share very similar viewing demographics (older, and certainly more conservative) as well, which means people choose one over the other splitting the audience. LMS has the advantage of being an established show with a familiar sitcom star (in a role that many adult males relate to, plus it's not dissimilar from his Home Improvement character...i.e. a comfort food for viewers), whereas Till and Eads bring in the female demographic, which seems to make up the backbone of the reboot's audience.
I'd actually be curious as to what the viewership ratio is gender-wise for MacGyver.
So this will be the last episode before Christmas hiatus. If they don't change anything in the schedule, the originally intended midseason finale (and most likely the intended Christmas episode with either a plot twist or a cliffhanger) 3x11 will air after Christmas; maybe even in 2019.
