I'll be watching the show for MacGyver himself rather than the mangled "reimagined" supporting characters who have absolutely zero resemblance to the originals.

honestly, I hated to admit it but did the first season the reboot need, Nikki Carpenter Dalton or Thorton?

Shrugs Plus I would of preferred if the girl was Debra but meh like i said M in the book casino royale was a man in the film it's Dame Judi Dench and even the way she played M in Goldeneye- Everything or Nothing (the Game) versus Casino Royale - Spectre (spoilers btw) was different so like I said I am giving this show at least 3-5 episodes.

I do hope this opens the door for Mac Merchandise including Video Games Soundtracks 9for the original show and the new show) and books

I loved in original MacGyver voiceover and his comments about what he was doing. I'm so glad that they use it in reboot!

I kinda forgot how much voiceovers they used in the beginning until my last rewatch. I wouldn't have been angry if they didn't implement them in the reboot, but I think it's pretty cool that they do.

Interviewer: How do you view this guy? Who is MacGyver?
Lucas: Pretty much the exact same guy from the original, only about 10 years younger. He's got a heart, he's loyal, he's always trying to do the right thing. He still doesn't use guns, even though he's getting in these dangerous situations. He's always trying to use what he has around him to get out of stuff. In the first episode, there's this opportunity where Jack throws me a gun and I use it to hit someone in the head instead of shooting the guy. No matter how dangerous it gets, he's still not going to compromise that about himself, so he's a pretty stand-up guy and cares about people.

Another one:

The long hair... so yeah original MacGyver had kinda long hair, but Lucas' is as long as mine.... I just can't work with that... but if it turns out to be a good show then maybe.

I'm with Miasma, and I'm mostly curious about the reboot, can't say I'm looking forward to it, and I'm being pessimistic about it........ I don't want them to ruin the integrity of the original Mac but I don't want it to be exactly like the original just because there will never be a better Mac than Richard Dean Anderson..... that is my opinion, though, you can make your own

Are you thinking of the old trailer that they released a few months ago, when Lucas' hair was longer? Because if you look at the more recent trailer, his hair really isn't that long now. I'd say it's definitely shorter than RDA's hair was in season 5.
