is the shot of the watch a still shot? I can't tell the difference from the new quartz Camper and the vintage hand-wind Camper, except this looks so shiny it is a mint vintage or the new quartz.
By the way, the strap is a Bund style, and can be found in many textiles and colors.
So now I'm very curious what they did with Penny Parker character and how they are planning to show Murdoc.
With the amount they're straying from the source material, Murdoc may be his best friend, and Penny Parker could end up being a deranged physicist trying to destroy the world with her new super weapon. haha.

Thanks for that perfectlykevin. I love it!
Sure thing!! I'm hoping to put up a small comparison photoshoot of the old and new Campers. And if anyone wants info on how to obtain the new quartz Camper, PM me and I can give you the contact info of my friend in Japan

Great stuff!
From what i can see, it looks as if the winding crown is slightly larger on the new Quartz Camper. Or is that my imagination?
As for Nikki Carpenter, it seems a little claustrophobic with them throwing all the characters in the show so soon. As for Nikki "Betraying" him? Really? Do you think they're going to go with that?
At this rate, i suspect Harry is eventually going to be introduced as a Soviet spy.

I remember seeing a picture of Tracy on MacGyvers fridge so I thought about her being the "big bad" and betraying him. But now that she's actually playing Nikki, that wouldn't make any sense to me - other than that again they just threw in a familiar name into the mix to appease "old" fans of the show.... (which they don't, of course).
I'm not sure why - are they afraid they won't get a second season otherwise? Because now, it doesn't seem they will have any original recurring characters left if they get one...

The crown on the new Camper looks to be about the same as the original. The translation I've seen said they based it on the original. I'm guessing they scanned an original to make the newer version, they are nearly identical in all respects. I'll try to shot some pics of the 2 side by side this weekend.

All jokes aside, I guess we just need to remember that this is a "re-imagining," not a "remake," so they are re-imagining the characters. It seems to me that they're keeping a few key characteristics, but then taking the characters in new directions. For example, Jack Dalton still seems a bit crazy and still has a sense of humor, both of which were key parts of the original's personality, but then they took the rest of his character in a different direction. Nikki is part of the team, and a love interest, which is true of the original Nikki, too (well, she never actually became a love interest, but she was put there as a potential love interest), but this version of Nikki betrays him, which is new. When Murdoc shows up, I'm sure he'll be a deranged villain, but I'm sure there will also be some new component to his personality. Penny Parker might still be like a younger sister to Mac, but she might not be a complete ditz this time around.
Honestly, I'm fine with the changes, as long as the new versions of the characters are compelling.
