She is mostly known for her iconic role in High School Musical. Has a huge following. It makes me wonder if they are setting her up for the other female role they had planned. If only she could replace Cage. I'm not sure how that might look either. Or even better she could replace Bozer, or maybe join Bozer in a really cool van that never allowed him to be in the field which I imagine will happen more now that he is in spy school

I've never seen a snippet of "High School Musical" at all. Even if they've never aired in Switzerland, I'm assuming they must have at least aired in Germany, but maybe on a channel I didn't have access to. Not to forget I was already too old to be interested in it anyway

I have to say I'm a bit curious what happened to Cage because I haven't seen a sign of Isabel Lucas being on set for at least 3 weeks now.

I know her character had a rough start and many still don't like her, but it would be really weird if she turns out to be another mole or gets killed of in the midseason finale. I really don't want yet another regular female character to join the cast

I definitely don't want a new cast member either. I think they did the Cage character no favors by starting her as a regular. I think recurring would have been so much better than wedging her into the team dynamic right away. It seemed so forced and turned me off right away, as I might have grown to like her if it wasn't so much all at once. I wondered about not seeing in the BTS pics but we didn't see her in the beginning either until they wanted us to. I hope they rework it-honestly- I have not thought the character added to the show, but liked Cage better in the later episodes. Again, I feel like it was a case of trying to relieve the workload of the leads but not doing it in a well-thought our way. As for Ashley Tisdale, I too am out of that age and my daughter is too young but it would be a smart play for that 18-34 year old group I suppose. I just wish they would leave the team alone and have recurring or guests.

He kinda reminds me of the late 2000s Lucas Till, in his "You Belong with Me" days, when he was still very young. Could it be possible that they wanted this guy to look like a young Mac, or just a coincidence? He kinda looks and feels MacGyver-like to me---not an RDA Mac, but a Lucas Till Mac

Funny thing: When I saw the Casting Call for a Stand-In for the actor on the left back in September, I had actually thought they were casting for a another younger MacGyver-Stand-In. Because Peter Lenkov had already revealed we would get to see Mini-MacGyver.

Parker Sack and Grant Springate (see the Casting Call picture for a Stand-In for Little Mac on the right) actually look related. Parker totally could have played MacGyver in his teen years in my opinion.

It's probably coincidence they look so much alike. Or they HAD been looking at possible actors for a teen-aged MacGyver and dropped the idea, but cast Parker for another role.

Also, they have been looking for a Stand-In for Grant in October again. So unless they did a reshoot or a photoshoot (e.g. for photo album pictures or something), "Little Mac" might come back in another flashback episode.
