This story showed Christmas decorations, but I know that is episode 11. I wonder if the Christmas episode will be a two parter and cover episodes 11 and 12?

Carlos Bernard was a regular member of the first several seasons of "24." I think his character appeared in at least part of the season with the exception of seasons 6 and 8.
At the beginning of the series, he's a colleague of Jack Bauer's in the Counter Terrorist Unit. Initially, he's antagonistic toward Bauer because he's jealous of Jack's romantic involvement with another coworker, but after that, the two men become good friends. Bernard's character, Tony, even helps Jack Bauer fake his death to evade capture. As a result, they show his character being targeted and killed off. They decided to bring him back, though, saying that Tony wasn't really dead, but severely injured, and Jack just thought he was dead.

there have been Christmas decorations in BtS pictures and videos of Episode 2x12 we've seen in October as well, so I always assumed it would be a two-parter - but then I was unsure because the episodes don't have the same director.
I guess the episodes will have at least overlapping storylines because in 2x11, Mac is accused of being a terrorist building bombs, and in 2x12 we have Charlie Robinson (fellow EOD tech involved in chasing the Ghost).

Hey, it's Tony Almeda from "24"! That's awesome! I had no idea he was a director. Looking forward to seeing how he does with his episode.
And the actor who played Ike Dubaku in "24" season 7 was in last night's episode, which was great to see.

Hey, sorry, didn't see your question until just now. As MacsMinx already said, Carlos Bernard was a series regular for most of 24's 8 seasons. He was even brought back for the spin-off series "24 Legacy." I kind of wish he'd be acting in an episode of MacGyver, but directing an episode is cool, too. The other guy I mentioned in post (the one who played Dubaku in 24 and who played the concerned father in MacGyver) only showed up in season 7 of 24, and in the tv movie "24: Redemption." He was a extremely nasty villain in 24, so it was interesting to see him as such a nice guy in MacGyver.

Thank you. I do read the posts in here, but sometimes forget to answer because I'm busy posting the new stuff

I think that's nice. Usually, all the guest-actors you know by name turn out to be the villains in episodic TV and especially in case-of-the-week-shows (e.g. CSI, Bones).
You always know as soon as you see the name who will turn out to be the killer
