I guess this confirms that Levy is the new team member. She has also started posting more about being in Atlanta.

I still find it hard to believe they haven't announced anything yet. I would think they would want to get everyone excited about someone new to the team like they did with H50.

I doubt it. They never announce that stuff. The only official announcement they ever did and posted on their own site was for Meredith.

They kept quiet about Isabel and also about Reign. I think the only news post about Reign joining the show was by a soap opera website that writes a lot about Reign's former show (Bold and Beautiful)... And David as Murdoc was semi-officially announced by another outlet as well (TV Line maybe; I don't remember).

Levy seems cute and fun, but who knows how long she will be there. In my opinion, CBS has a horrible track record with female characters on this show. Thornton and Cage each had 12 episodes, Jill had 13. The way all these characters left was a big disappointment to me.

Leanna is now at episode 11 and they're already introducing a new girl while Leanna gets less and less screentime... or she's in the episode but doesn't have much to do, similar to Cage in her later episodes... also, she's still somewhat of a blank page with no personality. If the fans like Levy's character, I think Leanna might be out soon as well. I don't particularly care for her character but I don't get why they never utilized her better... also, Reign is best friends with Tristin, but they never used that. Maybe write some scenes just for them and building a friendship as the only girls on the field missions back then?

Well, guess we'll see soon. I think Levy shows up in 3x15 for the first time, so very soon.

Personally I'm tired of producers trying /insisting on adding female agents. Cage didn't work from the get-go and Leanna is just plain awful and dull. They need a new partner for Mac and imo should be male. Better dynamic. Concentrate on Mac. Otherwise no need for anybody else. I really hope Levy is temporary. The show is called MACGYVER and that is why I watch. Certainly not for the others.

It may not be their decision. That unfortunately happens with a lot of shows - executive meddling. The actual writers and producers got a good thing going, then the executive meddling kicks in, "Nope, team shows are selling, you are making this into one" and what could have been is long gone

There's nothing wrong with a female agent, but why not just promote Riley to Mac's main partner. Riley & Mac make a great team, as proven by the several episodes when they've worked together. No need to bring in yet another character to an overly crowded show.

Even without the meddling producers and CBS chiming in, the show probably wouldn't have been what I hoped and wished for. Still, I think it would have been a lot better. Bit of a pity since they got mostly good actors with good chemistry.

On the other hand, who could that be on the next casting call...
