I have a Victorinox Spartan. I based my decision off the model MacGyver used in the beginning of Blow Out.

I bought my sister a basic SAK from Victorinox that had a USB drive and she loves it.

My Dad, NOT a MacGyver fan, swears by basic SAKs. He said that it's the most useful tool he's ever had. They're also the cheapest, and Victorinox has a rather fun collection of those.

Really, it just boils down to what you like, and what you want to use it for. I don't really use mine a lot, except to open boxes.... and *cough* wine bottles... *cough*

As others have said, it depends on which tools you need/want.

I wouldn't advise going larger than 3 layers if you want to carry it in your pocket though. wink.gif

Yup. Totally agree with everyone here. The most popular ones are the Tinker and Spartan models. I have several SAK's myself including the Pioneer, Spartan, Huntsman Lite & a rather large Wenger to which i have been unable to identify.

I also had a Small Tinker but my son threw it down a hold and that was the end of it. laugh.gif

You can never go wrong with a Tinker or Spartan. If you spend time in the woods, the Hiker/Camper will work well. Of course, you could just throw it all to the wind and pick up a Swisschamp biggrin.gif
