Interpol is the common name for the International Criminal Police Organization and is an intergovernmental organization aimed and facilitating international police cooperation.
Interpol agent Kari Kurikov had gone AWOL from Interpol to work undercover as Prof. Cornwell’s bodyguard after he suspected that he may be in danger from people wanting to obtain his newly developed salt water seed for themselves. After Cornwell was attacked and killed she revealed her true identity and fled with MacGyver to Cairo in pursuit of Pierre Lamont who had stolen the research files from Cornwell’s computer.
