Below is a picture of the different Victorinox SAKs I own. I have labeled them accordingly, with those I'm unsure of having a question mark. All the tools are opened (for this picture only then closed so as not to damage the spring).
A couple of them have the scales removed, as I have ordered brand new scales that have yet to arrive.
The one marked "Swiss Champ?" was purchased in the late 80's or early 90s. I might have the wrong model name. I know the Swiss Champ on the Victorinox site has a pair of pliers (mine does not).
Any help from fellow members will be greatly appreciated.

Fantastic!
The Ranger Camping does indeed have a screw in the scissor pivot point and the corkscrew does have grooves.
The Champion also has a screw in the scissor pivot point.
Thanks Joe!

#4 is the 'Champion' - basically a 'Swiss Champ' without the parcel hook and pliers.
#5 is the Ranger Camping. It is a Ranger Camping (1987 – 1990) if the scissors have a screw instead of rivet and the corkscrew has grooves.

It dosn't matter if you only do it once or how quickly you close them again, the damage is already done. Stainless does not have "memory", meaning it won't just go back into original shape on it's own. See how I opened the knife in my avatar? I did this just once for the picture and it's sprung, the screwdriver dosn't stay open as strongly any more. It's not ruined, but not like new anymore.

Also, there use to be a site which you could select which brand sak, then select according to layers to find which model you had. I can't remember the name or find the site anymore, it's been three or four years. Anyone know which site I'm talking about? Google is not helping...... :\

Speaking for myself. Before I read that opening them all at once could damage the knife, I did it on more than one occasion. Never noticed any ill effects.

It's possible that it may do nothing noticeable at all, I suppose it may have to do with the angle you happen to open the blades at or the shape or length of the knife. I noticed my Tinker felt differently after opening them all for a photo, not loose, but different somehow. It's my Adventurer in the picture where it was noticeable as soon as I closed it, the screwdriver was just all wrong. I was so upset with myself for messing up a brand new knife.
Mine is a 1984 Spartan, bought for me by my parents when we were on holiday in Switzerland. I've had it since I was 9
One side of the red plastic coating has broken off at the end (been used a lot over the years!), so I must get around to getting it replaced. One day.
Nice, I've never managed to hold on to one that long. They always seem to get lost or stolen. The one I have now, I've had for around 10 years, and that's a record, by several years.
